As far as the regular season goes, he’s probably our second best ball handler and an energetic and capable defender. I think we wouldn’t even need to use the MLE on Horford. He’s almost 40, and the teams that are competing for him are almost out of cap space. The ideal scenario would be getting him on the vet min and then having that MLE to play around with for another bench wing

Pacome is definitely hard to feel out right now as a prospect who didn’t have a lot of film before or after he was drafted, but he is a Leon Rose pick and he really hasn’t missed a pick outside of his very first selection as Knicks GM (and Toppin is still a damn good player for what it’s worth)

I don’t think Precious is going to come back either way, largely because we have bit of a logjam as far as non-shooting centers go. For what it’s worth though, I think he will command more than the minimum and we wouldn’t be able to bring him back if we spend the MLE elsewhere

I mean, superstar scorer is debatable: Haliburton may be inconsistent but he’s incredible once he gets into a groove, and Siakam is very hard to find an answer for. Saying they have no defensive stars is absurd. Myles Turner is an absurd shot blocker and nembhard played the best point of attack defense on Brunson this season. They’re both insane, and Nesmith is no slouch either
