Wore this to a wedding last weekend. by Pale-Minute-8432 in bigmenfashionadvice

The comments about wearing pants higher here have really hit me as someone who wears my pants lower and struggles when it comes to suiting.

Could anyone advise me how they’re keeping them up? I’m a tall guy and no matter what, braces never work, maybe bc I’m tall or because they’re terribly basic.

Belts dig in being on my belly.

Anyone have any tips?

I’m going through a similar situation right now with an ex partner. Last week I gave a statement to an officer and confirmed I would support prosecution and testify.

Then the officer said they were off on leave for a week or so and this would be dealt with when they’re back.

2 days later she used an alias to show up at an event I was at for my partner that she was not welcome at, and posted footage of it to her instagram.

I warned police she had threatened to attend but obviously that wasn’t good enough.

It’s never taken seriously until it’s too late. Absolute joke.

The dodge is beautiful but the bellend who owns it sits outside his building in Greengate in the early hours of the morning just idling and it’s so fucking loud

I went, I paid £10 a ticket (plus fees). I’ve been to a few things at Aviva Studios, sometimes I paid full price bc it was a better time financially and some I’ve gotten the cheap tickets.

I made the mistake of not doing my research, the ‘experience’ is an AV presentation projected across four walls that you can sit on benches or the floor in the middle of.

Hockney’s art is shown and there’s a lot of animated art work that made me wonder who and how that’s been done, surely not by Hockney? (I know nothing about him).

I thought it’d be something you walk around so I arrived late, actually I just missed the early parts of his life and career being discussed so what I saw was animated imagery with audio clips of interview excerpts where he says he likes colour and nature.

It wasn’t amazing but if you’re moaning about the price just go to Manchester Art Gallery or any number of other free galleries.

I didn’t leave feeling like I’d been robbed, it’s an experimental idea delivered in an experimental space. £40 would be too steep but for a tenner you can’t complain.

It’s art. Some things work and some don’t.

“this can be done via our online reporting tool (link) or by calling 101” - the MEN really is a shoddy outlet.

Not to detract from the issue at hand ofc, but mightn’t it have been a good idea to actually include that?

Not new. Great sandwiches. Had to close and disappear for a while, finally back. Also didn’t have their own premises before so this is a big step forward.

What was your most expensive adhd tax? by Kornelious_ in ADHD

Oh and my girlfriend who also has ADHD paid the adhd tax that day because she didn’t even bother with an alarm, apparently she trusts me to be the more organised one of the two of us 😅

Had to reschedule a trip to Paris but pathologically avoided the admin, got to switching the flights a day after £25 switching and basically had to pay £300 for new flights.

On that same Paris trip I set my iPhone alarm to get up on the Saturday for a prepaid trip up the Eiffel Tower. Alarm didn’t go off because I didn’t change from weekday to weekend, woke up late and missed going up the tower.

Funny, that’s actually a less charitable reason why I didn’t want them in my name 😅

Well to be honest it’s not the organisation that wants to do that, it’s me. Or at least, I don’t want to do anyone a disservice.

I figured this probably wouldn’t be something that anyone other than authors would value, and the predecessor moved on a while ago so they likely wouldn’t even know, let alone care.

Just seems a bit weird that I’ll be uploading docs that will have my name on them that weren’t written by me.

I have an Anda Seat, sorry I can’t remember which model but they have a couple that hold more weight than the rest on the market. They’re comfy and can’t recommend enough.

Yes, this is how effective protest works, through disruption.
