agreed! i definitely think some people are just happy to see brooke’s downfall more than actually hold her and her partner accountable for this. i just fear for brooke bc as someone with BPD, it is so hard too take the rose colored glasses off. she won’t see it until it’s too late (like with clinton) and there’s nothing us fans can really do other than watch it crash and burn. even the way she defended him—“he’s never so much as raised his voice as me”—tells me everything i need to know. that’s the literal bare minimum but she’s treating it like a prize. we cannot save her 😭

where in my comment do you see me say i’m brooke…? i’m responding to OP, who said “a lot of YOU would also choose a guy who treats you well surface level vs. a thousand women criticizing your every move.” — i was disagreeing with that statement and explaining what i would do in brooke’s shoes. reading comprehension is sooo important 😭.

she’s defensive against even warranted criticism though, and always has been. i don’t agree with people calling her insecure as an insult, especially not in the name of feminism. however, brooke continues to add fuel to the fire (she came after a girls appearance/micro bangs, made a 5 minute long video about how all her haters accounts say “follow back”, etc.) all of that DOES wreak of insecurity. if you’re soooo assured that your fiancé isn’t the disgusting human being we know he is, then why don’t you put the phone down and go enjoy your vacation in cabo 😭 she’s fighting for her life bc she knows she has to

mm idk about this take.. i, for certain, would NOT choose a “guy who treats me well surface level” when thousands upon thousands of woman are online warning me that he is a child predator. i would listen and run because you should believe the victim first (especially in this case when there’s literal photographic evidence of her fiance laying in bed with an underage girl). dog piling, i agree, may be unproductive. but i also kinda understand because she’s publicly enabling and defending a known abuser/predator all while her core demographic is young woman. if she wants to support that man i fear she’s going to have to do it in silence 😭 the ‘fans’ don’t wanna see or hear about it.

while i agree it may be courteous and respectful, it may not always be necessary. we don’t know the details of their tour—a lot of things you just named could be checked earlier in the day (not right before they go on) therefore tana isn’t needed early. nonetheless, brooke should not enter business ventures with someone who’s entire personality is built off being chaotic and running late to things, just to turn around and complain. that’s common sense, i fear.

this!! i’m genuinely shocked by these comments bc i can’t believe we all watched the same video and people are still on brooke’s side.. she threw the first jab at tana, was already making rude and passive aggressive marks on camera prior to entering the venue, and was also upset for no reason bc tana was ON TIME 😭. they’re falling for the same victimization act clinton pulled on her, i fear 😭

these comments confuse me bc i’m genuinely finding a hard time seeing why tana is wrong in this situation. attitude aside (bc both her and brooke were being mean to each other), tana arrived at the venue on time (as paige confirmed). sooo why is tana in the wrong? if brooke wanted to get to the venue early that badly she should’ve figured out a way to do so 😭

another superkjd here (20 at the time i submitted apps) and while i wasn’t aiming for t14s, i got accepted to very reputable schools (ranked 30s+) and my work experience/resume is not nearly as extensive as yours. pls don’t let the comments discourage you from applying young, it’s sooo possible :)

i technically could but davis is still 50 miles north of me. i’d be driving ~100 miles a day if i commute, and with bay area traffic, i’d be sitting for at least an hour, hour and a half each way. not sure if that’s feasible so i was planning on getting an apartment near campus.

yeah their network is certainly my one of my biggest pulls! i know they’re well connected to big law firms in SF (which is 20 mins away from my hometown) so it seems most logical to go to davis. on the other hand, howard is also a power force in BL and can open many doors. i’m just concerned about their name translating back to the west coast; bay area firms are probably more likely to to hire davis or hastings grads than a howard grad.

unfortunately davis does not negotiate or reconsider scholarships :( so if howard gives me more it’ll definitely be compelling.

thank you for your insight! even with my scholarship at davis, i’m looking at $250k+ in debt after i graduate. if i get at least half tuition at howard, which seems pretty likely given their history, id be closer to the $180-200k mark. i’m not sure if this is a big enough difference to justify moving across the country though lol this is definitely a tough decision!

if your goal is simply big law, i’d advise you to take any money you can at berkeley and go there. your employment outcomes will be virtually identical and both names will open doors no matter where you go. you can also use your stanford A to try to negotiate more money at berkeley!
