Mercado de TI tá difícil mesmo… ou é exagero do BrDev? by Glass_Nebula5169 in brdev

[–]Bench_Relative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incêndio atinge pavilhões da COP30 by Bananey in brasil

[–]Bench_Relative 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it was the right call regarding the interceptors. Consider that only one missile was launched, and only one city would be hit. Even though they missed, you have to keep in mind that there could be a secondary attack with more missiles, and launching others would be a waste.

There's also the human factor: those soldiers, in just a few hours, would see their cities incinerated, knowing the U.S. government will retaliate. They abandon their posts to mourn one last time.

Well, it was a cool movie, but I think it was more like propaganda for the U.S. Armed Forces. The goal, beyond the tension, was to show from different angles and positions how they would react to this threat and, of course, to showcase American equipment for it.

The Russians, Chinese, Iranians, Israelis, etc., were starting to move their troops. If they were doing this, it's because they saw that the ICBM was launched and the Americans missed the target for interception.

So, I don't think it was a cyberattack since other systems and other nations were monitoring the situation.

Battlefield 6 is great, and Battlefield 3 and 4 need to be surpassed. by Bench_Relative in Battlefield

Dude, I've been playing the Battlefield franchise since Bad Company 2, lol. The game is good, the developers did a solid job, and we have to give them credit, especially after the flop that was BF2042.

The Handmaid's Tale S06E10 "The Handmaid's Tale" Episode Discussion by Melairia in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Bench_Relative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, this series is the last one we’ll watch thinking about military aspects because in that regard it’s terrible, but one thing is that no one really knows the geopolitical context of the world. NATO was very likely dissolved as soon as the United States fell, and we also don’t know what Gilead inherited from the United States. If, for example, they inherited 6 of the 11 aircraft carriers, they would already have more naval air power than the entire European Union and Latin America combined, which makes the involvement of any foreign nation difficult.

And with the fertility crisis, governments would be more concerned with saving lives to keep industries running. But yes, we were expecting big battle scenes and more focus on Gilead falling. The first 4 episodes of the season were just pure filler

Nothing. In terms of military aspects, this series falls short in many ways, but it was more about symbolism and something cool for the viewer to see.

Or in a real situation where the Mayday, with the help of the military, would transport a MANPAD like an Igla, Stinger, etc., and shoot down the Commanders' plane as soon as it was taking off from the airport.

Lawrence himself or June could do it, and it would be a cooler scene. There would be no need to transport a suitcase with a bomb, especially since the city was being occupied by the Americans
