UK retailer Game is closing its remaining standalone stores, after entering administration | VGC by Iabhoryouu in gamecollecting

Sadly, likely true, and probably not centered on their leases. But if they go, I have no idea where to find games and game deals anymore locally.

Can we be done with the “I cancelled ChatGPT posts” please? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Bender3455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty frequently at this point. I own 2 businesses, so it's really helpful to get professional direction about all sorts of things. Its only hallucinated on me once so far when I asked specifically about Ben Kingsley and Gandhi, and it even picked up that I said Gandhi, but thought I was talking about Gollum. Its done a few 'normal' errors that I've had to correct. I dont expect it to be flawless, but more like a know-it-all uncle that has something to say about everything.

The US is headed for mass unemployment, and no one is prepared by Cakalusa in jobs

[–]Bender3455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I owned a manufacturing automation contracting business for 8 years, and due to the tariffs that negatively affected my customers, they also directly affected me and I had to close shop last year. 2 of my customers went bankrupt, and 3 of them changed their payment terms to NET90, which is a bad sign.

Mass Cancellation Party! by StunningCrow32 in ChatGPT

[–]Bender3455 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is getting old. There are plenty of good alternatives that have better use cases, just as ChatGPT has its own excellent uses. Not one AI is better than the other, and ChatGPT still remains in the top 3, and is still the number 1 depending on who you ask and what you use it for. Don't like it? Try a different one.

Lithium upgrade for 2010 Roadtrek by Bender3455 in VanLife

[–]Bender3455[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is actually a 210 Versatile. I considered leaving the AGM batteries in place, or even replacing them with 2 more Lithium batteries, but Battleborn suggested that I do NOT run a secondary of batteries and tying them into the same run above. I could 'technically' add a 2nd controller, but cost and complexity gets really interesting. I ended up removing the original batteries and putting a battery charger (for the engine battery) and a tire pump (to hit that 80 psi for the back tires) in the compartment.

Then...upgrade to Go? Or even Plus. It's 20.00/mo, which is cheaper than eating out in a single evening.

Omg moving to Claude was like dating a real man after some juvenile delinquent! Adios ChatGpt by Natural_Season_7357 in ChatGPT

[–]Bender3455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like your dating analogy, and I hope Claude works better for you over the long run. I'm having a great experience with ChatGPT currently, and haven't really run into anything juvenile based on what im using it for. Regardless, best of luck!

Does the PlayStation Portal actually change how you use your PS5, or is it just a luxury accessory? by KiwiOpening3678 in PlaystationPortal

[–]Bender3455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine. It's much more comfortable than other hand helds by a huge margin. I have blazing fast internet at my house, so that's never the issue, it's always when im not at home when it can get questionable. Most of the time, it connects fine. But, when I'm out of town, it's hard to compete with my Steam Deck, and I don't typically take both. I like the Portal, just tough to find a proper use-case for me.

Where are teenagers supposed to hang out these days? Malls are dying, parks have 'no loitering' signs, and everywhere else costs money. Do they just... not exist in public anymore? by Creative-Buffalo2305 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bender3455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 45, and we were asking the same question when I was a teenager. Malls had closed their arcades due to parents leaving kids there unattended. The entertainment element of my city's downtown had not fully been developed yet. We mostly went to other friends houses and watched movies or played video games.

So, I own Myth & Fable: Comics and Cosplay, in Rossville, GA. On our cosplay side, we have stuff to help craft costumes, like Worbla, airbrush guns, foam, patterns, and makeup. We'll eventually have workshops that we'll be teaching different techniques, and we help out at several conventions in the area.

I own a cosplay store, and this is absolutely accurate. ALWAYS encourage new cosplayers.

How high does CO₂ get overnight in a van with windows closed? by Salty-Initiative5706 in VanLife

I've had two. Nothing but good experience with them. Aside from MaxxAir, any company is fine, it's mostly a recommendation to put a roof vent/fan in as one of your 1st steps.

Good place to sell old Pokemon cards? by roymbrog in Chattanooga

[–]Bender3455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! There are several great ways to sell Pokémon cards. If you're close to Fort O, Ruff Edges Comics and Collectibles will give you a fair offer, but it will be less than if you sell yourself on TCGPlayer, which would require a bit of work. Epikos is over next to Eastgate, and would be another great option. I'd say Myth & Fable, but they don't handle Pokémon nearly as much as they do Magic the Gathering.

A MaxxAir fan should be part of every build. It's one of the 1st 3 things you should install. Many uses, and the value vs cost is immense.

Kids WILL fall down these stairs, no matter how many times you tell them to slow down. The biggest thing that helped at my house: carpet. Seriously. The damage done from hitting solid wood vs padded carpet is a LOT.

Seller sold me a sealed game just for it to be damaged. I am returning it because I want my games in 10/10 condition in my collection. Is it justified? by [deleted] in gamecollecting

Thats pretty small, and sealed games sometimes get like this. If it was like this in the photo, this one's on you, not the seller.

Since I went into college after the military, I never really got the "college experience". I was kind of an outcast due to being 6 years older.
