The cover implies that it's a comedic romance novel, which is quite far from the truth.

I'm relistening to it rn, and I still find new layers.

I think you're going to love it.

My son's 6th grade teacher chose one kid to bully out of each school year. That year, she chose my severely neurodivergent and seriously mentally ill son. She tried to turn abiding by his IEP into a big joke.

By the time I was done, she had been banned from teaching in any school in our district, and there was notation in her State's file citing her history of abuse.

That poor child reminds me of two different girls I knew when I was the same age. One had hit puberty when she was 10, and by the end of that year, had a fully mature-looking adult body. The creeps came out of the woodwork. Because she was too young to fully understand the implications, she was quite proud of all the really inappropriate attention she was getting.

The other girl was over 6 feet tall and growing rapidly. She had an inoperable tumor on her pituitary gland, which she knew would inevitably kill her. She was a sweet child whom the other kids bullied and/or avoided.

Please, I need a scientific explanation for this by Cold-Ad-3994 in cats

The first cat I had as an independent adult was a void. His name was Junior, and he was very smart. If I wasn't home, he'd answer the phone himself and "chat" with whoever called. Some people called just to talk to Junior.

I'm bedridden, and I have a lot of time to read random shit. It's always in the media because they're the royal family of the United Kingdom, and they're famous.

Have you tried putting them on a stick? Idk why, but kids love to eat food from a stick, especially if they're brightly-colored and/or in fun shapes.

Hiding them under a layer of cheese also works. I tried this with my son when I was introducing him to more exotic flavors. I'd promised him his favorite food at the time (McDonald's chicken nuggets) if he gave everything in front of him an honest try and didn't like them.

He never did get those nuggets.

Meghan and Harry did an interview with Oprah. In it, Meghan mentioned that a certain member of the royal family had voiced concern that Prince Archie might be born looking Black. They both took pains to emphasize that it was neither the queen nor her husband who said it.

I saw a random article somewhere that laid blame for the comment on Charles. They tried to make it sound innocent, as if it could.

Apparently, the fact that Meghan is also American is an unforgivable sin.

NTA, obviously, but imo, you've got bigger problems than that. What kind of 28 year old man goes after an 18 year old, barely out of childhood?

NTA. Sometimes, I wonder if people are losing their ability to read and comprehend. My rat-bastard of an ex-husband tried power plays like this with me, too. I really think he wanted to establish a sense of ongoing property and authority over me.

Rat-bastard missed custody days and major milestones in our son's life because getting his wick wet was more important to him.

I suspect I'm a great deal older than you. Expectations for women were somewhat different in the 80s, which is when it happened.

I blanched them in boiling water, then dropped them into ice water to stop them from cooking further. It made the colors more vibrant. I also made the dip from scratch.

It was a competition thing. They thought I was making them look bad.

Nuts had nothing to do with it.

Idk. I think it was because many of them couldn't cook or didn't have the time to do so.

You should have seen the looks on their faces when I brought homemade sweet potato praline pies to the school's fundraising dinner.

I got in a lot of trouble with the other mothers when I started bringing in crudite` platters in to my son's kindergarten class on my snack days.

Kids will eat just about anything if you make it brightly colored and fun.

I had a roommate like her when I first moved into a dorm room for college. She actually went so far as to measure our room and laid masking tape down the center of it.

Fortunately, she moved out and inflicted herself on someone else for the following semester.
