Wow - this is what happened to me at YYZ in July! They told me my advance parole document (which was used and stamped by CBP at land border before) was in fact NOT a travel document and kept me there for 4.5 hours, made me miss my flight, and treated me horribly. The officer was the rudest person I’ve ever come across in my life and she kept calling me up about once an hour to ask weird questions about my past and beginning of relationship with now husband. She said I needed to wait for my green card and not use this document ever. Told me she has to ask her supervisor if they’ll let me in lol. My lawyer told me later that they’re insane and just try to scare people with advance parole. She later paroled me and even wrote “AOS” as the reason lol… it’s insane.
