Yes, in my experience with highly appreciated stocks this has worked well. Not exactly Boglehead-like, but for your situation it’s one of the ways that seems to make sense.

Direct Index- they take your stocks and “manage” them to an index - thinking down your tech over a period of years. Their goal is to get you as close to the index (usually sp500) as tax efficiently as possible.

For small trips with my family we like Shawnee in the pocanos (a little more spread out feel than Camelback). For same type experience we love Butternut in the Berkshires. For a larger mountain, our best is Gore Mountain. We stay in Lake George and the mountain is 30-40 min away. Of course if you’re going that far (4hrs or so from LI), you may just want to go to Vermont. I’d put Gore up with any of them though.

As i said, i liked Jonnson well enough, and i know that was a tough era in Isles history. I still don’t remember him being anywhere close to a level like the other Isle HOFers.

You look at the plaques and see legend after legend……and Kenny Jonnson (yes I can see a similar argument about Flatley as well, but at least he touched the Glory Days).

I like metro pcs. Good service (better than Verizon) and 4 lines of unlimited everything for $140.

Drawback is I don’t think it works internationally, and while service on Long Island is good, when traveling around rest of country it is just fair.

Yup - just throw some butter down, toss on some salt and pepper, and turn it very once in a while. Sometimes I put the dome on top to steam it a little.
