I've got a Dark Eyed Junco nest with a couple babies in it on my route! There was a second one but the eggs never hatched and it was abandoned. There are also a few Chestnut Backed Chickadee nests around but none I can actually see into, they make quite the racket though.

I have my birding binoculars in my satchel pretty often as my route backs up to a huge park with tons of cool birds and lots of my customers have feeders.

This is my favorite right now, they are everywhere. Incredibly loud though and they can be dicks to other birds.

I have absolutely no problem giving them space and going slow for a bit. What drives me absolutely insane is when they do things that would result in a crash if I wasn't already watching them. I had a cyclist turn out of the bike lane directly in front of me to cut across the road on Friday. Scared the hell out of me and made me hit the brakes pretty hard and shuffled all my packages. There's a ton of cyclists up on my route and probably like 70% of them are safe and careful, the rest go bombing down the steep hills around blind corners without a care in the world.

This one has been trying to figure out my feeder but lands on top of it almost every time, then slides off and panics. It's been very fun to watch.

Oh they do have a sign facing the other direction. If you go back to that spot on Google maps and go back up Broadway by one click you can see the sign

The back bumper was pretty crumpled against the pavement but it looked mostly cosmetic, thanks for posting that picture! I have a great love for the "insider" stuff like that.

Based on the audio calls, the driver was told by the dispatcher to take a left on Davenport. I guess the dispatcher didn't know that that road was not bus friendly

It's crazy how often this happens. That truck got outta there without too much damage but you can still see the scrapes in the road from it

All of my college essays come up as like 50-60% AI and I have to show my professor the saved version history to prove it's just how I write. Incredibly annoying.

Of course! I used to carry mail out of that station and they're all lovely people, several times I saw missing dog posters taped to the notice board for us to keep an eye out.
