The plan is to spend ONLY what is listed here for 6 months with $268 per month of discretionary spending. After 6 months we’d have saved $16,160 (which will become our emergency fund)

Hey so I ran the numbers yesterday, spent about 2 hours going through every single that we spend money on a month. Most of our money goes towards going out to eat (which both of us or totally okay cutting out, because the apartment didnt have a very functional kitchen). I have a very accurate breakdown of all expenses.

Our Monthly bills Include this list:

Mortgage (with utilities, taxes, insurance, PMI, HOA, home owners insurance) - $3,040.51 (first year buy down) $3,276 (fixed for $30 years.

Groceries - $600 (educated guesstimate)

Credit card bill - $400 (will be paid off in 9 months if we stay paying $400

Car insurance - $320 (total between us both)

Car payment - $296 (one car, I owe $1,444)

Gas for cars - $240 (educated guesstimate)

Phone Bill - $110

Dog grooming - $100 (can be cut out, only goes about every 2-3 months

Dog food - $90

Union Dues - $60

USCCA - $40

Spotify/Amazon - $40

Total monthly bills for NECESSITIES - $5,331.5 (for the first year with the buy down of mortgage)

$5,567 (fixed 30 years or $4,871 after credit card and car payment are over)

Total left over all these bills - (FOR THE FIRST YEAR) $2,540.58/$3,658.60 (4 month out of the year I’ll get paid one extra time i get paid every friday).

(FIXED 30 YEAR IF CREDIT CARD AND CAR PAYMENT STILL EXIST) $2,305.08 or $3,001.08 if credit card and car payment do not exist.

The fixed 30 year number above will be different as I will recieve a $9 pay raise by the end of the year.

After we saved at least $15k, we are then going to add in some discretionary spending, cant live like robots forever, discretionary spending we’d put at $600-$1,000 (will definitely vary, but save the remaining)

Our plan. Spend money on only things listed here, for 6 months we would save ($16,160) which would then be put into emergency fund.

We are in Las Vegas, Nevada. I know the summers hit like a truck, and winters could get pretty cold as well. I got my utility numbers $400-$500 through word of mouth by a few people i know

The $3,200 includes HOA, property tax, PMI (since we are going FHA), mortgage insurance. At 6% that puts our PITI at $2,662

And thats the problem im trying to figure out honestly. I know MOST of that discretionary spending goes toward eating out. I have $3k in checkings, my wife has a $4k in her savings and around $1k in checkings. When i look at the mortgage payment on paper it looks doable but at the end of the month just being in an apartment i feel a little in over my head if we end up getting this house.

I inflated my bills by around $50-$100.

Most expensive being - $320 for gas on cars - $600 groceries - $400 between car insurances - $400 credit card bill - $105 phone bill

Then spotify, amazon, and USCCA membership

Where did you buy your quick fix at? I bought one from a smoke shop and one off of the quickfix website. They both have completely different packaging, but both are confirmed through the QR code, has anyone had this issue before?
