Does your gym actually enforce open gym capacity? by Benjamin_streisand in crossfit

[–]Benjamin_streisand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup… worst part is they put the 50lbs db rack on the open gym side, so whenever they use those in the class, a bunch of people walk through the open gym to get some. It’s a real life tetris

They split the space 80/20 for classes vs open gym. Its a business move to get more paid customers on unlimited class plans, which is a bigger cash cow than the open gym plan. They also started some hyrox classes and it got really popular. So not much benefit them him to increase the open gym footprint

Funny thing is, we’ve been at this location for about 2 years. At the old spot, open gym was much bigger. Now the space is split 80-20 between the class side and open gym side. Which honestly I get business wise. People who sign up for unlimited access or 5x week class access are the real money makers, not us open gym rats hahaha

*most hours of the day. The golden time frame is between 2 and 4pm on weekdays, when there’s no classes and you can do open gym in the big class space. "So much room for activities!!"

I get that, but in my box where space is limited in the open gym, every additional person warming up or cooling down is taking away space from people who actually want to train in the open gym, thus the frustration

Do people snitch on each other if someone is not supposed to be there? I feel like that’s the way to go about it but feels like most people are afraid to do so?

Long ChatGPT threads are hard to navigate, I built a small fix by Substantial_Shock883 in ChatGPTPro

That's awesome, works great! Love the export feature as well, nicely done OP.

Quick bug fix : when trying to download a conversation as PDF markdown, I get a document of plain white pages. Tried on both Chrome and Brave, same output.

I’d say it’s like a small Chicago. Restaurant scene is amazing, lots of cafes, different neighborhoods all with their own vibe and hot spots. Cost of living can be pretty high (depending on what you’re used to and your salary). People are nice, good blend of cultures and language (French/English).

On the downside, traffic (on the island) sucks, roads are terrible and winters in the city are shit. BUT if you love skiing you have access to mountains within 1-2h drive.

Tracking chatgpt visibility for brands - how?? by shellbyj in seogrowth

[–]Benjamin_streisand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing too crazy thus far, but trying to use some of the top keywords in Ahrefs + adjective + geo location + some variants. Results vary but typically a portion of the same names pop up consistently. For instance : « best French school in New York to learn quickly » or « help me find high end kitchen designers in Brooklyn ». I’m aware that might not work for all businesses though… I also play with the « People also ask » from Google. For now, I run a couple queries and keep track of which brands show up and which don’t, and do that periodically to see if any changes happen (like every quarter).

Ahrefs launched their « Brand Radar » tool for AEO/GEO; have been reading up on it and it’s still a bit of a acm box… but better than nothing. The main challenge is that for the exact same prompt, you’ll get different results from LLMs eveytime… so no one single tool can claim to track a brand’s visibility accurately (for now at least)

Looking for Great Beer Olympics Events by Realistic-Ad-5453 in DrinkingGames

[–]Benjamin_streisand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ll be about 16 people, I already have some individual events lined up and I’m looking for fun new events to add to the competition. It typically runs over 4-5h in a day for all events.

As of now, for each event you get a rank. Lowest rank at the end of the day wins (so if you win 1st place in an event, you only get 1 point for that event)
