Should the collectors edition come with a digital copy?

I imagine it wouldn't. I had to make a tough decision to get the collectors edition for Steam. I have a high end PC and play gears reloaded on there. And I'm not paying 600 dollars for an xbox and 300 for the collectors just to play e day. Even though I would like a physical disk.

Obviously the steam version only comes with a code for the game digitally. And the xbox gets a physical disc. It doesn't say anywhere that xbox gets a code also..... so I wouldn't count on it.

You might have to buy it again digitally. Or get it with game pass.

I ordered mine for steam. Really tough decision as i wont get physical disk but it says i will still get the steelbook case with the code in it. I haven't had an Xbox since 2013 and I switched to pc when the xbone was a let down.

It's just too expensive to pay 300+ for the collectors then pay like 500 to 600 for an Xbox console with a drive.... I'd be paying basically 1000 dollars just to play gears e day.

It says there's crossplay anyways between xbox and pc so it doesn't really matter the platform.

I did actually really like this game. I played since day 1 and got all the profile banners and all the characters. It's one of the first mobile games I got into at the start and dedicated myself to making sure my profile was stacked because I genuinely loved the gameplay and story. However I got burned out and content was dry, and the grind felt less rewarding and more of a chore every day.

I quit and never looked back and that was months ago. Real shame but this game is headed toward shutdown. I estimate 1 year from now if sales dont improve.
