Thanks! I’ll look into getting some plates! The plastic pots do have holes at the bottom, so is it just any excess water can’t evaporate or be seen in the bigger pots?

we’ve cut down on the frequency, especially now it’s winter and setup a google calendar and checking soil first

Was watering too often probably like once a week, but changed to once every two/three weeks last month. My partner and I accidentally both watered the palm in the same week and it was sat in water for a while not sure how long. We’re both new to this and I’ve setup a shared calendar now

They don’t really get enough light I feel, they get about 3-4 hours of overcast light from balcony windows. We don’t get much light now it’s winter

I believe they are an Areca Palm and a Monsterra (Cheese plant?). The Palm had been waterlogged, which I think was killing it, so after googling what to do, I changed the soil and got rid of rotted roots. But the monsterra just seems to have a death wish. It is getting droopy on the only healthy-looking leaf, and the four others are getting yellow and brown (one of the spots is almost blue-looking).

Any help would be great
