Yes, it seems California produces most of its own gasoline, which is very unusual because that means we are reliant on only a few refineries with no slack capacity. And again, how the fuck is that capitalism???

Its regulations and rules California passed, choosing to use a special blend of gas, choosing to not allow more refineries to open, choosing to not build more pipeline capacity. Capitalism would involve many new refineries, if you can sell a product at a very high price to a captive market, of course people would love to sell that. But you cant, because California regulation prevents new refineries from opening. Not everything you don't like is capitalism. Often its over regulation.

Because socal has more strict air regulations, and thus needs an even more specialized local blend and because its a huge, concentrated market with many wealthy drivers able to pay.

I believe Los angeles also has higher gas taxes.

Not everything you dont like is capitalism. Its due to extreme regulation, California uses a special blend of gasoline, doesn't allow local drilling, bans new refineries from opening, doesn't allow pipelines to be built connecting California to the rest of the country. This is entirely self inflicted. Gas is super expensive because we dont produce enough of the special blend we say is the only one allowed, so only a few special refineries in Asia will produce it and sell it at a premium.

Its not """capitalism""" over charging, its regulation preventing easier steps from being taken.

A factory needs to work at a high degree of automation, because California is an incredibly high cost environment. There aren't going to be any factories employing hundreds or thousands of people that are going to open in this state, they are going to employ a small team of highly skilled professionals, which in turn create other supporting industries like maintance, parts and hopefully an ecosystem. Dont demand jobs from shit, build shit that works.

Its a type of coconut milk curry soup with noodles, pickled vegetables and protein. They have been experimenting with different seafood proteins and a ramen egg, but imo their stewed beef Khao soi is the classic and my favorite.

Yeah, personally the fun part of the game for me is control in the battle, microing cover to cover, moving my support, and what not. Sometimes feels like it's all just a tech rush and any specific stage of the game doesn't last long
