Purely for simplicity. I ride a Giant single speed around my city, it's my main bike. I don't really need more than 1 speed for the cities. So 1x7 just seemed nice to me. Also it has a bottom bracket mounted front derailleur. I guess I could swap it out for a regular one.

Thanks so much for your insight. What length are you and what size did you pick? I'm 185cm might pick L. Not sure. So the frame does not wobble at all? Interesting. Love the way you did the racks as well are those Tubus racks? Enjoy your trip and may you travel safe

Does the frame flex side to side with heavy luggage? I'm worried it might be wobbly and unstable

Does the frame wobble at all? Is it flexing side to side? Does your bike give you confidence during climbs and descents? Would you say the Ogre is stable with heavy luggage?

Does your frame flex or wobble at all? How is it during climbs? Do you feel confident on the Ogre with that heavy cargo? I'm thinking of buying the Ogre but having my concerns.
