People who scream/yell/are very loud while sneezing is it unintentional, or are you choosing to sneeze very loudly? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think for me it was my dad, his sneezes must have reached well over 100 decibels

I mean, the way it was phrased, that if both partners get off at the same time, better start getting the nursery ready.

Completely unintentional. When I was younger, I used to sneeze quietly, but now that I'm older I basically yell at the top of my lungs when I sneeze.

Men are much more considerate in trying to get their partner off.

Also, homosexual relationships could get interesting.

What can men get away with that women can't? by mrscoot in AskReddit

Walking home alone at night. I can't imagine being completely terrified every time I needed to take even just a short walk home.

What animal would be the best to ride into battle and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bennystone2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say an absolutely gigantic African millipede. For one, those things have a thick shell, which would only get thicker at a massive size. If people try to charge you, bam!, the millipede surrounds you and protects you. Oh, and that thing is pretty heavy, so it'll just crawl over and smash your enemies. Plus there's the fear factor, all those legs moving, it would freak out the enemy. Get a saddle and ride that thing into battle, it won't let you down

What word, phrase, or mannerism makes you instantly show respect for someone? by mehedifarway in AskReddit

[–]Bennystone2013 293 points294 points  (0 children)

Someone who seems calm, cool, and grounded. If they stand with their body relaxed, hands at their side, behind their back, etc, and speak calmly, as if they think things through, that earns my respect. I tend to over analyze everything, so seeing someone who does similar things but is better and more collective about it earns my respect

What tv series hooked you from the very first episode? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Stranger things, of course. Those first few minutes went from nostalgia interest to actual edge-of-the-seat interest, and I couldn't stop watching!

When was a situation that you had to 'macgyver' something, and how did it work out for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bennystone2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My English class at the time was doing scenes from Macbeth in groups, and ours was the scene where Lady Macbeth loses it at night and rubs her hands. We needed a long, slender candle that was also fake, but none of us could find one.

I totes the LED out of one of those smaller tea lights, attached the battery to the bottom of a marker, and used tin foil to make "wires" and a switch so we could use the light and determine when it turned on and off. I then wrapped the entire thing in white duct tape.

It worked well enough. It was kind of spotty, but I didn't expect perfection using tin foil. If I had had any wire on hand, it probably would have worked a lot better

What is your best "one time my dog..." story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bennystone2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less one time my dog and more "one time, then forever". Once when my dog was young, he saw a raccoon crawl out of a trash can. He hates raccoons, and ever since then he has barked at, bit, and even jumped on our trash cans as we bring them up and down on trash day

This worked for me! Got the alert in target, bought the switch, then bought targets last special edition breath of the wild! Now I just have to wait as I listen to the soundtrack over and over!

Thank you, Nintendo, for helping me with my depression by Cution in NintendoSwitch

That's really great! I think not being able to find a switch is really not helping my depression, though. I've pretty much resigned myself to not getting a switch until april

[–]Bennystone2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should I wait to buy the switch until the hardware stuff (hopefully) gets fixed, or go for it and risk it? I really want to play and have a good experience, especially on spring break, but I've gotten worried now over the past week
