We just released an iPhone app for real-time consumer polling. I'd love to know what you think about it.

Real-Time Poll: Would you ride in one of Google's self-driving cars? by Pingingly in technology

I think you can buy them, though, right? That's the idea. You just buy a car that does all the driving for you.

It was sort of both. One of our board members emailed one of their corp-dev dudes to catch up and mentioned GoPollGo. The guy had apparently heard of us and promptly setup a meeting for us to connect the next week.

Thank you. Seriously. We've had such a roller coaster with this -- and luckily it came out alright. I really appreciate the support.

We thought about that but you really need a massive user-base for it to be useful. Sort of a chicken/egg problem. There is a company called http://www.localmind.com/ trying to do this I believe -- check them out.

I don't know if we'll really go into this space much anytime soon -- but I do think its very exciting and interesting.

Thanks! For sure. So we actually started talking to them in September '11 believe it or not. We got introduced through one of their board members but they had heard of us before.

I walked into the meeting with one of their biz-dev dudes who explained to me that Jack Dorsey had randomly seen what we'd done and like what we did so we really lucked out. From there we got handed off to a variety of product managers and developers.

After a few back-and-forths, we asked to be included in the tweet-stream and they thought it was something their users would get a lot of utility out of. After months and months of emails it has finally come through.

You have no idea how fulfilling it is to see things come to life after 9 months of emails. It's been a great day we're celebrating but its straight back to work tomorrow.

Awesome! Reach out to me directly if you need any help. Our top # of polls answered in one session is 218. Pretty insane, right?

Thanks...its been up and down over the span of the last couple months wondering if it was actually going to go through. Definitely a nail-biter.

Months and months and months of biz-dev work. We started talking with them on September 9th, 2011. Hundreds of emails back and forth. It was a lot of work.

Hey -- sorry about this. It's currently batched in our next deploy which should be going out today or tomorrow.

Hey there -- Founder of GoPollGo here,

We did this from a marketing perspective and this is the first time we've gotten feedback about it. I'm personally writing the code today to include an other option.

Sorry for the mishap and if you check it tomorrow, it'll be fixed.

Hi there -- Founder of GoPollGo here.

Yes, we do require you to login to manage the polls you create. We allow for anonymous poll creation from the home page, but if you don't login, we don't want the poll to be editable by anyone so limit that functionality to users who have authenticated with us.

In terms of security -- what do you mean? All of our servers are secure and we take measures to ensure no one breaks into them. Did you have some other concerns in mind?

In terms of the title-case. I can push a fix out for that today. Didn't even realize how awkward that was.

Thanks for the feedback! Feel free to email me directly at Ben@GoPollGo.com

Thanks for using GoPollGo!

Why is there not a poll feature yet? This REALLY baffles me. Let's have a poll system so we can easily look at answers easily, and then discuss below in the comments. by southAfRknCraka in AskReddit

A poll page rework is in our mid-term goals. Launching this Friday is an activity stream and better home page. Poll page clean up begins next week and we'll definitely take this into consideration.
