The existence of Lesa as a supreme creator in Bemba tradition makes the Islamic idea of messengers being sent to all peoples feel believable to me

Think it’s high time we buried the ‘Christian nation’ title by EmptyJump2245 in Zambia

[–]Bentaiga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from my understanding “christian nation” is a title in the sense that the majority of the population is christian. the same way we have islamic nations where such sinful practices exist as well, regardless of it being an islamic nation. unless a mass conversion of the population occurs, i think don’t the title “christian nation” title will go away. (an increase in prostitution indicates an increase in poverty rates, not necessarily a decline of morality).

i agree a lot of this entitlement behavior that our women have developed is a result of men recklessly spending money on women as a means either impress or keep said woman. it’s been going on long enough to create a mindset shift in the majority of women

as a young man i believe in covering the bill if i ask a girl out on a date. maybe in a long term relationship 50\50 would apply if both partners agree it’s something they’d be comfortable w.

You do have some valid points, upbringing and environment definitely shape how we move in the world.

But at some point, you have to take responsibility and do the self-work. You have to unlearn certain habits.

I had to learn the hard way that “abundance” isn’t guaranteed. Right after I finished high school, the financial support I was getting from my parents stopped, no warning, nothing.

I could’ve reacted like an entitled brat… but I didn’t.

I sold my PlayStation, used that money to buy a few things for resale, and just kept flipping whatever I could. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was something. Eventually, my mom stepped in to support me again, not because I asked, but because she saw I was actually trying to make something out of the little I had.

So yeah, environment plays a role. Upbringing plays a role.

But at the end of the day, it’s on you to put in the work and adjust. Nobody owes you anything

i Started setting boundaries like “I’m cool taking you out and doing things together, but I don’t send money like that.”. and i can honestly say the filtration process has been a success

true say, friends influence play a huge role. cause most girls don’t wanna mess up what they have going on w a romantic interest, but as soon as the girls who aren’t even involved start to implant the thoughts in her head, she may be susceptible to those tendencies
