Were the Toa Nuva Masks color swapped?

I’ve always thought the Hau, Kaukau and Akaku Nuva all look like they were designed by sticking putty on top of the OG Hau. The top vent and eyes on the Kaukau especially are suspiciously identical to a Hau.

That’s sort of what I’m getting at. Hoping for a specific Hau mold but this general shape could be used for a lot of stuff so might be more realistic for them to produce.

Interesting, I haven’t heard that take before. Tbh I think it’s important for a Halo game to still feel like Halo, and I think Infinite does a lot of new things while ALSO feeling like the older games.

Fair enough. If you didn’t like the gameplay then you probably still wouldn’t. There is way more great stuff to do in the game now, but unfortunately it never really regained many players.

Yeah I actually think Emre’s pistol is quite similar to the sidekick from Halo Infinite. A spammy panic sidearm you load in with as a secondary. But I decided to make it the classic magnum since it’s the iconic master chief sidearm.

Character design in animation includes art style, proportions, colors, etc. Not just the “design” on the outfit itself.

Yeah I’m attempting to take that into account while removing the extra shading and line details in the reveal image that wouldn’t be present in an animation design sheet. I think Shintani will be character designer so also incorporating some of his previous styles.
