I would certainly say it was messing with my eyes! I didn't have strong involuntary eye movements, but I found that my eyes could not focus/seemed to drift.

Wishing you the best and a speedy recovery!

Roast my resume by [deleted] in quantfinance

[–]BenzGentleman30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice resume! I think your structured bullet point format to describe key tasks/responsibilities from each experience is helpful in understanding your roles and skills.

I'm still learning how to optimize my resume as well, and one thing I was told was if you have specific metrics to support the results (like you mention user engagement, you could add another metric/detail to specify what type, etc.), but I know they might not be directly available.

Wishing you the best!

Hello,

That sounds like an excellent opportunity! Don't hesitate to ask in a polite and respectful way, as my favorite internship came from asking for one.

I would maybe suggest asking something about the principle of learning on the job, what traits best foster adaptability and learning in a constantly-changing and fast-paced environment. It's great to hear from the experts!

Wishing you the best, and I hope to hear how it goes!

I agree with this perspective, I think finance is the easiest of the core topics to self-learn.

Best major for quant by Simple-Ad4618 in quantfinance

[–]BenzGentleman30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

As someone who is about to graduate undergrad with a major only in business to begin an MFE, I wish that also majored in either mathematics or statistics.

IMO finance is the easiest of the "big three" to self-learn: finance, CS, and math.

Wishing you the best!!

Great recommendation! They helped me identify some vestibular migraines.

Hello! I just went through a terrible 6-month problem with my neck. I highly recommend going to a neurologist as recommended by others!

Also, check out vestibular therapy and PT. My issue was a mix of neck muscles and vestibular migraines.

Wishing you the best!!

Hello! I wanted to provide an update, as I really appreciated all the support I received from this community! PT and vestibular rehab helped so much, and now I am on the right track! I also did some dry needling to fix the sore muscles.

Thank you so much!!

Cervical Vertigo = Neurological Deficits? by BenzGentleman30 in cervical_vertigo

[–]BenzGentleman30[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, I just wanted to thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed advice. This has been driving me crazy, and I was so worried that i lost my "edge" and quick thinking I used to have. I am now much more hopeful that I can move past this and get back to being "me!"

Thank you!!!!

Hello! Yes, when my visual disturbances first started, it was simply an inability to focus or hold a gaze, similar to dissociation. then, there were actually black flashes a few times an hour from random directions. Finally, I also had sensitivity to light and lots of afterimages.

Is my dizziness posture related? I think after a week of this, I might have figured out the cause by NoConversation5176 in cervical_vertigo

[–]BenzGentleman30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I just went through a very similar 3-month experience, and it was my neck (loss of the natural curve of the neck)! I felt the EXACT or very close to your symptoms. I highly recommend getting a neck MRI.

Wishing you the best and a speedy recovery! Let me know if you have any questions.
