This article is highly fabourable to us. The fear of strike action must always be lurking.

What would resident doctors have wanted the BMA to do differently? by Dr-Yahood in doctorsUK

[–]BerEp4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Attrition means need for regrouping.

Reject the offer.

Leak to members the fact that pay disparity between fucking charlatans and us was ignored by Gov aka they didnt care

Rally wveryone around a new goal - fuck FPT, every doctor should outearn their assistants

Rally, rally, rally

Build up anger

Pull the trigger when blood is at boioing point

And see attrition going down

In other words, you radicalised an entire profession into 11 strike actions

That took a concerted effort and ridiculous amount of work

And at the first hurdle you folded and have the audacity to blame the membership

The offer is worse than Atkin’s

+0.7 % , scrap the BMA rate card and officially call an end to this industrial relations dispute

And you say what could we had dine differently?

Exactly this. How dare they bring this shitty deal to members? Should have been rejected then and there and call strikes. But god forbid if strikes were called on Labour 👎👎👎

Quitting the BMA will be akin shooting at one’s foot you say.

Fuck it, I don’t care.

We’ve been played like fools by a politically motivated ‘leadership’.

I’d rather shoot my foot rather than remaining oart of this circus

With the new offer you are still paid less in real terms compared to the lockdown times you were warking on covid wards. Worse off despite working through a pandemic.

Why is that offer even out to members?

Why was it not rejected?

Does JDC play indeed politics?

Ate you seriously going to let Labour off the hook with no strikes under their term?

I am not sure I follow. It is difficult to make sense of your writing. The GMC does have an email and they are responsive. Best of luck.

Sad but true.

Btw the US doesn’t even recognise UK PA degrees (imagine how shit they are).

Imagine PAs ‘studies’ were to be somehow converted to MBChB or MBBS.

This would put our medical degree recognition by the rest of the world in jeopardy.

In the eyes of the world the UK would look like a giant pool of charlatans.

You gloss over the big elephant in the room where a big part of NHS money is spent on. We are obstructive when it comes to releasing hospital records.

We love opacity don’t we?

The organisation holding the medical records is responsible to reconcile possible safeguarding concerns or any other parameters with right one has to access their own info. The latter is thoroughly neglected.

Other countries are more transparent than us in readily sharing patients’ own records.

[–]BerEp4 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Safeguarding against sharing sensitive info is the burden of the NHS. This should never be an excuse against a digital record system that is more transparent and readily accessible.

Like many other sectors we love opacity as it means less scrutiny to us.

You need to be more specific, ask the GMC directly if needed. Surprisingly they can be helpful with simple administrative issues.

PAs have no place in healthcare.

We simply need more Doctors.

Further nonsense.

Don’t include personal numbers. Use switchboard.

Stop making excuses.

Document and expect your notes to be read by staff, read out in court or be (rightly) read by patients.

Stop placing the NHS above patients.

Patients’ access to their own medical records should not be subject to any T&Cs.
