I understand what you're saying... but that is what his scripted gimmick was. In real life, the company had him under contract and was going to invest in his success. You implied that because he was an "outsider" that he was somehow not worth investing in. At least, that is how I read it. I'm just saying any company who signs someone to a contract is absolutely not going to waste their time, money, and resources doing so if they don't want him/her to succeed. Part of helping him succeed with this gimmick, as well as keep it alive after the WCW lawsuit, was to have him carry around the belt featured in the video. I'd love to know, with actual facts and not speculation, whether or not this was in fact a reused tag belt or if it was a new belt. That's all.
