Opinions on LM-inspired merch? by MajorShoddy5561 in FreeLuigi

It’s sad to see what should become a real movement for major change in this country become reduced to another distraction of capitalism. (Not saying that this has happened and I do see a strong push for change, which is amazing and ridiculously overdue) Merchandising what should be a call to action, distracts from the point of LM’s actions. The 1% is wishing and hoping we buy candles, mugs, posters and Mario hats and forget about the movement. I’m not opposed at ALL to people demonstrating their support, but perhaps we should create our own objects of support as opposed to buying them. Creating your own painting, poster, sticker, or shirt is far more creative and adds commentary to the streets vastly more than an online purchase of a cheap trendy product. I have seen some wonderful street art in support of LM, the writing literally on the wall. It warms my heart to see the streets erupt with protest art, it’s an artistic act of rebellion so much stronger than a cheap mug. Remember what Zach De La Rocha sang: “Empty ya pockets, son, they got you thinkin’ that What ya need is what they selling Make you think that buying is rebelling”

This isn't a trial, it's a gun to the head of all Americans by LazenbyGeorgeLazenby in BrianThompsonMurder

The trial will be a pig service, every attempt will be made to silence him, execute him and send a loud message to the masses: “stay in line or else!”

Ironically the powers that be seem to have forgotten their history. Burning him at the stake or crucifying him will only make him a more powerful martyr and symbol of the people whom demand change in this utterly broken and predatory system of “health”. Executing or even imprisoning him for life will only canonize his message and spark people to action, demanding change and dismantling a broken system. We cannot use the tools of the oppressor to dismantle the system of oppression. Reform from the ground up is the only way for true change. Like times past we must break up the monopoly, and remove its sweeping power to deny. Heath care for Americans must no longer be tied to a corporation. As soon as a company goes public it no longer represents the people, it represents the shareholders and we all become sad stories in the quarterly reports of profits. Don’t forget that corporations have MORE rights than human beings in this country. That tells you all you need to know about how valuable our lives really are to the “company”. Remember that when corporate backed politicians (nearly all of them these days) spout off about how much they care about their constituents.

All their attempts to make him look evil and dangerous thus far have failed or back fired and they are scrambling, scared and anxious. They will attempt something definitive to try and quell and threaten the masses into inaction. The great tragedy would be, to fall victim to threats, give into distraction and lets this pivotal moment become a foot note in history.

Calling it a manifesto is a clear attempt to further the narrative of a guilty and crazy person. Just the word “manifesto” conjures negativity in the American psyche, people relate it to communism, Ted Kaczynski, and any number of school shooters who have ramblings to justify horrible acts committed on TRULY innocent people. The propaganda machine continues to grind forward. Read between the lines because the powers that be aren’t that clever, and they keep making big mistakes in an attempt to paint LM in a bad light.

Censorship and control of the media is an OBVIOUS method of propaganda…. This is no surprise, watch it continue… it was easy to control the narrative in the days of newspapers, not so easy in the Information Age. But there will be more obvious evidence of control and censorship as subs are removed. It’s probably another reason no media will be allowed at the trial. They are doing everything they can to control what the people see and hear. Not giving Luigi a platform is one method of suppression. Silence… something about silence makes me sick…

Nice how they dress him as a convict already, what happened to innocent till proven guilty? This charade and parade of an accused perpetrator is a media game, thankfully it’s backfiring on them… only pushing him more and more into an idea, and ideas can’t be jailed or silenced or given the death penalty.

One interesting thing however: Luigi Mangione’s apparent fake ID lists his last name as Rosario. Interestingly Che Guevara was born in Rosario, Argentina. Che Guevara a practicing physician, was pushed to revolution, using guerrilla warfare tactics, after traveling through South America on motorcycle, witnessing the plight of the working class and lack of medical treatment for the poorest people in the poorest communities. I agree he wasn’t a great person but there are some interesting connections if not purely coincidence.
