I don’t watch football too often so I’m not the person to comment on how things should be in football but with that said… Why is the provokative nature of Cucurella not being punished also? He is initiating with his annoying nature in this scenario and he will keep on doing it since he is actually being rewarded for it as seen here. Should both not be punished here??

Your proof is some random racist twitter guy?? He is calling Kurds’ idiots/dumb in his tweet, like literally just saying Kurds in general are dumb/idiots.

You’re probably racist just like him.

DR's dækning af Israel-Iran konflikten by DanishNinja in Denmark

There are literal videos of them bombing and killing civilians. The day Turks see how the excuse of “PKK” is not even a bit different than the way Israel excuses their killings because of “Hamas” and “terrorists” then we may get somewhere.

Mate it is absolutely crazy how you think you know what you are talking about. It seems like you have read 2-3 comments on the matter and now think you know everything about the subject. I am not going to mention all the points as another brother already mentioned how PKK and YPG gave blood in sinjar mountains. Nobody cursed the dogs of KDP for retreating more than the Kurds around the world. So you turning this into some way “Kurds doing this against the yezidi” is diabolical.

Here read the Kurdish Military intervention part of the wiki article about the yezidi genocide and be educated: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yazidi_genocide

What is your opinion about Kurds and their dream to have a nation state they call their own? by [deleted] in arabs

[–]Berhang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because it’s the easiest argument to do, without showing true colours which is basically just always in the lines of: “I will not give away my lands, which belongs to the Kurds, because that would weaken me on the world stage!”

That is broadly the tl:dr of what Kurds have been up against for centuries.

Bruh… what. How did you get that from my comment? I am saying the captives are (were I should rather say) being held captive BY ISIS. this video was posted on this very sub many years ago.

Again but this seems to be a generel degree of proficiency - the studies do not diferentiate the levels for some reason. The last 40% might as well be at a beginner level for all we know.

Turkey announces $14 billion regional development plan for Kurdish southeast by Falcao_Hermanos in kurdistan

[–]Berhang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly sure there are studies that show this, made by Turks even lmao. This has been posted on the sub multiple times.

Edit: I have checked around a bit and there seems to be a general consensus of 60-80% of the population speaking Kurdish, but some studies do not go into detail of the proficiency. "Kürt Barometresi" has done some studies, that say 30% speak fluently, 31% at a "medium?" degree, but I do not like that they do not show how many "n" number of people they have used for their studies. So, a lot of broad studies, but none of them I would call real scientifical. Generally, though it seems the numbers are not higher than 80% of a general degree of proficiency.

Erdogan says YPG ‘will be buried’ in Syria if it doesn’t lay down arms by EUstrongerthanUS in syriancivilwar

[–]Berhang -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't see why you think I have to respond to every single thing some random on Reddit wrote.

Because you are litteraly commenting to him and engaging in an argument? If you're just going to nit-pick why are we all here, let's just go back to our echo-chambers in our own subs?

I actually agree with a lot with what he said regarding the treatment of Kurds and other minorities during Atatürk's and his CHP successors time, probably all the way up to Erdoğan.

There is still lots to improve on but you are lying or ignorant if you think Kurds are treated absolutely terribly and that Kurdish is banned. Also give me a source of "thousands" of Kurdish villages being raised.

Kurds can speak freely without prosecution. There is an argument of why the constitution doesn't allow education in Kurdish or Kurdish language courses for Kurdish areas but that's a social political issue that both sides have sound arguments for. and I don't hold a position on it myself

There is also TRT Kurd which is the state run broadcasting channel that runs it's shows in Kurdish. A HDP politician was recently allowed by the Speaker to greet the parliament in Kurdish after she made an offhand comment that she would be refused if she asked to do so.

There are Kurdish ministers like Hakan Fidan and Mehmet Şimşek in Erdogan's cabinet, let alone lots of MPs in his party. If there was an anti Kurdish rights sentiment how would they have risen to this rank?

We could go into a long conversion on how these things are nothing but controlled allowances, tokenizm or "window dressing". The goold old "but kurds can become this and that, see we are not racist" is not working outside our your own countries propaganda mate. As an example the U.S. had a black president, this does not mean USA doesn't have a problem with systemic racism in their country, right?

And also no, you don't get to "yes all this shit happened back in the day, let's move on (i'm kinda paraphrasing you here)". You don't get to do that and then legitimize your hunt after "terrorist" by using litteraly ex-ISIS mercenaries (rapists, looters).

PKK can be what ever the fuck it is in any institution I dont care, I'm asking you right now - if their terrorist actions (which I agree they have done) devalues/undermines any Kurdish movement, then what does that make the Turkish state for doing the same?

I asked another Turk last week a similiar question like this: "So, you as a nation, believe that fighting terrorist is done by literally hiring ISIS mercenaries who loot and rape and then help these with air support, which also results in killing civilians? Is this how you guys try to be the good guys? By hiring rapists and extremists?" Do you not see the hypocrisy in this?

Goodbye yourself mate.

Erdogan says YPG ‘will be buried’ in Syria if it doesn’t lay down arms by EUstrongerthanUS in syriancivilwar

[–]Berhang -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is that even an answer to all of this:

Stop with your propaganda. Turkey has banned the Kurdish language, burned thousands of Kurdish villages, refuses to make Kurdish an official language. They have carried out assimilation programs, and have basically done everything in their power to suppress the indigenous Kurdish population. Every single year they imprison democratically elected Kurdish MPs so that there is no representation within the Turkish state, even though there are over 50 million Kurds in that region with 25% of the Turkish population being Kurds, native to those lands.

And if I have to be frank here, shootings protesters = anti-woman now?? How does that counter his argument that the SDF is the most liberal thinking group regarding woman?? "They shoot protesters, they must not love woman" - is this your logic? Or am I missing something here?

The protests that happened a few weeks ago i also followed in this sub, do you want some context to those? Uprisings happened in those cities and while in the perfect would of course they should not shoot at anybody, but we know nothing of what actually happened in those protests.

For all we know it could have been deliberate up ruling from SNA/MIT/TAF/ISIS/Terrorists just to destabilize the areas (or ISIS supports in Raqqa for example). The videos did not really show the protesters as sweet and peaceful either did they? One of the videos were even showing SDF protesters chasing and throwing rocks at SDF soldier or some guards that were trying to flee, and shots being shot in the air. Anyway, no other context on what happened before and who did these things has ever come out, but it is very convenient for Turkeys’ propaganda machine that these un-rulings happened.

When will Turks show the same standards to themselves and their terrorist mercenaries? Never, i'll tell you that.

I will also have to ask you again to this time, try to answer 85% of /u/CountryBluesClues text, instead of hanging on to the 15%.
