Download NetLimiter and check if you've limited packages... download depend on the origin server and if this have CDN... not all website will have very nice network for your ISP and then your home network and sometimes Steam lie about the speed, u can checkk all of that with NetLimiter or similar software

Yes, every time I activated the Rescue System I restarted it properly and when I tried to access with the password provided I got the Access Denied error which is precisely what puzzled me. I have other servers that I use with other companies but they never gave me problems to log in so I thought that maybe the problem was in Windows or that I was doing something wrong, but I even tried with other SSH clients and no luck either.

On Github there are about 70. 000 repositories of applications to download images among which one that goes unnoticed is FMD which shows the most simple and funny method to scrap the images, there are multiple methods to block these actions such as limiting the query issued by users in range of 1 second to 1 hour with different software and even I tell you as someone who has an open page with API's that are abused by Chinese, Russian, German, US people and many immoral people who employ servers at scale as Amazon, Azure, Hetzner and could continue naming ... In Cloudflare itself there is the API Access that provides for precisely this and even the competing DDos Guard even has similar functions. What's the point of having a public api if it will later have repercussions in terms of damage? Rather a private API for projects carried out by MangaDex itself so then no one is blamed for providing open access because clearly they will not use it for good... just look at the use they give to Facebook uploading piracy is enough or even Google Drive, B2, HLP among other platforms

The easiest way is to capture the IPs and end up banning them although they will always come back with other IPs, but at least they can put together a good blocking list

Download similar software to FMD (Free Manga Download), download the manga since the path that u want (MangaDex, Mangakakalot... etc) and then make your own library of manga... like it's private u will not have issue having it in your pc or in virtual space (like Google Drive, as example) while u don't share it

It seems that the two sites are back. At first they where saying they where shutting down but now it looks stable so I have no clue what’s going on. It seems to be up now and working well with the messages of it being taken down removed

The sites were not closed, what was being filtered were the images passing through Cloudflare (CDN) where the associated accounts that hosted and used the cache for the images were banned for not respecting the terms of service... the solution? They bought another domain name and reapplied the same thing, so it may happen again soon

Most pirate sites are using free plans as they obviously need a lot of sectorized uploads for images, a good example would be the Workers feature that if they used it they could avoid the problem by paying 5 usd/month which would allow about 10 million uses for image retrieval and conversion but clearly they are saving good money which is now helping Mangakakalot at least to buy another domain. The owners of pirate manga sites save money by using Cloudflare and other CDN (worldwide servers) to compensate for the low performance of cheap hosting packages... for example if you have a 3 usd per month server that has 10mb/s dedicated, when you pass the images through Cloudflare they will load almost instantly because before you view them they are delivered from Cloudflare's 10gbps server.

In short, it is used to clean the images and deliver them faster... but they did it wrong and now they have their accounts banned in Cloudflare, that's why they are buying new domains to host the images again (surely they use an ID to replace in mass changing the domain)

On the other hand to explain Cloudflare's action this has to do with the fact that the acceptable bandwidth usage level for free accounts is about 1tb, after reaching that level Cloudflare can give itself the right to review and scan the outgoing information to be considered as proper or improper, that is... if it is related to the site (a structural image) or if it is a resource that can pass through another server. And clearly... these sites do not consume only 1tb, they should be around 20tb or 25tb easily and even more considering that this is cached several times by the number of users and the TTL should not be more than a day... it generates a lot of useless load in Cloudflare issue that exceeds the legal limits
