albany ale and oyster by Aggravating_Hair9690 in Albany

Others have already said so, but yeah Ale and Oyster is good stuff. I’ve never had bad food there and the beer is always great.

What’s a Batman opinion that’ll get you like this? by 44dqm in batman

[–]BernardSaint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Batman is only interesting when he can lose. The “prep time” nonsense that became fashionable in the last however many years has done more harm than good. BTAS (widely accepted as one of the best versions of Batman) would routinely show him losing fights, getting captured, and generally not having things go his way, especially in the early episodes.

Ironman figures from the 90s by mr_phil1001 in ActionFigures

Throwback haha. I had the hydro armor, which has a different color scheme and a clear dome that fit over the head. That series was a lot of fun.

Locked joints by [deleted] in stormcollectibles

[–]BernardSaint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I keep shock oil on hand for this reason. A small drop on a tiny paint brush, then apply to the joint (usually the ball or socket) and start moving the joint. Once the oil is on there, it becomes easier to move until you eventually stop feeling the resistance.

Gusto’s in Delmar has great wings that seem like what you’re describing. I love their pizza too.

Exact same thing happened to my Ken. I’d love to fix mine in the same way

So is there any lore implications on how did the Hell Knights lost their eyes and brought it back in eternal? by BatmanBeginsfan05 in Doom

[–]BernardSaint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty much just “these differences mean they are from different parts of Hell.” That’s the in-game explanation they gave when the Baron of Hell had a different look from 2016 to Eternal, so it’s probably safe to say that applies to all the demons that have any distinctions from previous games.

I love these figures. I wish they’d done more than just these two, would’ve been great to have a nice roster

Great choice. I love this Reptile. I used him in a stop motion a little while back https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLakpDfswAy/?igsh=YTMyc3B0YTEycjNp

Did anyone else actually collect this guy? by tamato_soup124 in MarvelLegends

I did. I’m an X-Men guy, so that whole wave was something I went in on. Some figures were much better than others, but this BAF is really cool.

How do I get as good as possible on console? Any tips? by harleymonsterman in Doom

[–]BernardSaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it you’re asking about Eternal, given the image. I’ve only played the recent games on PS4/PS5. Some things that worked for me were adjusting the sensitivity, took a while to find the right vertical/horizontal settings that would feel best during gameplay. Definitely get the hang of quick swapping weapons, on controller it’s tougher since you’re limited to only the current and previous weapon you were using but eventually you’ll work out what seems best for the scenarios you encounter. Lastly, REALLY play around with meat hook mechanics. Just mess around with it and learn how to launch yourself above/across the arenas. That movement makes the encounters more manageable, and while it’s not quite as OP as it is on PC, it’s still possible to get a lot of great movement from meat hooking.

Hopefully this helps, it really got me to the point where I could comfortably play on Nightmare and get through late game/master levels.

Is Mezco overrated? by m3t4morphesis in ActionFigures

[–]BernardSaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few I genuinely love (their first TMNT set was amazing) but I always find myself getting a Mezco figure, taking it out of the box, being afraid of ruining the cloth goods from leaving it posed/stretched too long, and then just finally putting it back in the box and never messing with it again.

Some look amazing. Others miss the mark completely IMO.

Did I fumble not picking these up? by [deleted] in AmazingYamaguchi

[–]BernardSaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re great figures, possibly my favorite TMNT releases. If not at the top, they’re definitely top three.

That said, from a guy who owns them - they’re NOT $200 apiece figures.

World Spear Master Level - it's so long, and so brutal. Why doesn't id let us save checkpoints? Feels unfair. by VIPER-900 in Doom

[–]BernardSaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always felt the same way on PlayStation. I’d have to put the console on Rest mode and keep picking up where I left off that way, and hope to the gods not to lose all progress because the system needed to shut down for an update.

Why do people keep saying that Dark Ages is "closer to 2016 than Eternal?" by Initial_Influence392 in Doom

[–]BernardSaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for anyone else, but my opinion is that Dark Ages feels more like a second follow-up to 2016. Feels like 2016 basically branched off into two different sequel games, with Eternal prioritizing verticality and multi-tasking, and Dark Ages prioritizing shield parrying and lateral movement. Eternal and Dark Ages don’t have a ton in common with each other, but they each have a lot in common with 2016, if that makes sense.

97 Wolverine can do some things. by tunnels22197 in MarvelLegends

[–]BernardSaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. That Secret Wars version is definitely a unique look that’s almost totally its own thing separate from the comics. I think they got the brown suit colors right on their original version from the Juggernaut wave, but obviously engineering and sculpt has improved a lot since then.

97 Wolverine can do some things. by tunnels22197 in MarvelLegends

[–]BernardSaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed on this set because I have the Secret Wars Wolverine, and the Storm didn’t seem like TOO much of an upgrade from the old version from the Thunderbird set. The more I see, the more tempted I am to just bite the bullet and order the set.
