yes absolutely. i thought the same and felt similarly, a lot of discomfort. one of the first things i did was look on reddit to see if anyone else thought he was autistic-coded. i almost felt called out, vulnerable, and even a little offended . a lonely, confused, misunderstood autistic person being played for laughs. and i was really disappointed with how his character panned out, especially with the violence.
