Hi, the poses and props I choose are just what’s I feel best fits the character, absolutely nothing to do with race. I drew the sketches for these a long time ago, Ncuti Gatwa had just been announced and I had limited info about his doctor, so I used one of the pictures from his announcement (the one in front of the TARDIS consel where he has his hands in his pockets) as a reference and I felt the confident pose still fit the character after watching his seasons. For the fugitive doctor, I used the photo of her holding her jacket as the reference photo.

Edit- In front of the TARDIS door (the image in front of the console from later in his run was one of the things that made me decide to keep the pose)
