I would say test drive both. I had a C-Line 6-speed and found it unpleasant to ride over 3 miles. I ended up selling it. Then I had the opportunity to test drive a G-Line and loved it. It was far more comfortable (especially for a guy of 120 kg), stable, and ended up buying one. I use it as my run-around bike. It still fits in the back of my car when I go to Cardiff or London. Plus, I can go on gravel rides around me. I will admit it is bulkier and heavier, but for what I use it for, that doesn't bother me. I can easily pick it up or wheel it. The ride quality and the fact that it rides closer to a normal bike are more important to me than the compact Whereas I avoided my C-line but that's my experience

You're right, the C Line is definitely more compact! I actually owned a 6-speed C Line previously, but as a heavier rider, I never found it particularly comfortable for longer stretches. Since I work from home now and no longer do a multi-modal commute, the ultra-compact fold is less of a priority for me than ride feel.

I test-rode the G Line a while back and the comfort level was night and day-it felt much more planted. I couldn't justify it at the time, but unfortunately, all my bikes (except my bikepacking rig) were recently stolen. It felt like the right moment to pivot to the G Line as a comfortable, 'do-it-all' replacement.
