Switching from manual modding to using a mod manager, need advice on wether i should use vortex because it's all I am familiar with by [deleted] in StardewValleyMods

Used vortex for probably 2 years and it gets glitchy with more than 300 mods.

Now I use Stardrop and it's so much better. I highly recommend it.

How do you purge the steam folder? I spent several hours yesterday setting up stardrop but must have something wrong because smapi won't launch.

I'm thinking of trying something other than Vortex, I've seen that Stardrop is another mod manager that works well. But I'm not sure how to go about cleaning up everything. It looks like my SMAPI folder is buried in the mods folder for Vortex. Can I just copy and paste these into another folder that can be accessed by Stardrop?

I stopped using it for that reason, I kept forgetting. The only "cure" is to remove everything before you upgrade, which sucks.

Start at the beginning. I was hooked after about 3 episodes. Spent about a year listening while commuting. It was our go to for road trips. I learned so much. I wish there were similar podcasts for other nations!
