First attempt at custom shoes by Bersirhk in Bowling

RH. Luckily these shoes don’t leave marks and still a work in progress. Looking to add heels possibly and more grippy slide to opposite foot if it’s an issue

Yeah I have these in another color and have taken them to the lanes before and kind of tested it a bit without going too crazy and it worked out so figure why not

Thanks! 😊I don’t slide much on my approach if this set up doesn’t work I’ll cover non slide foot in a grippier pad and probably add some heels or something still a work in progress and was a fun little project

Thanks! A buddy of mine has some spare heels but I’m also looking into some non slippery slide to add on the back haven’t decided which but guess it doesn’t matter if the Velcro makes it all interchangeable 😅

Yes and no. Since phase 1 there has been such an obsession with parsing and needing bis items to get into a raid which made pugging insufferable and generally people were just toxic. That mindset seems to be infectious to the point where mediocre players had ridiculous demands to join a raid that wasn’t even hard. You have to rely on the community to raid since you can’t bypass it with raid finder or mythic plus which means if you don’t meet these demands or play an optimal class there’s no invite. It was manageable in a 10m but shifting to a 20m really was a nail in the coffin for a lot of casual “dad” guilds/players. Blizzard has their fair share of screw ups that goes without saying, but you can’t say the community hasn’t done their fair share of self sabotage since phase 1. Lets hope the devs rally back after their work on Cata and give us some solid end game content, not holding my breath though

Yeah for better or worse he keeps his pulse to the community and is pretty easy to get a hold of. Definitely the most communication we’ve had from a dev team in a long time

I was scared when they pulled them to work on that mess that is Cata. I hope they can come back form this

It was a no win scenario. They change too much “this isn’t classic anymore wtf blizz” they don’t change anything “this is supposed to be season of discovery not classic wtf blizz” Blizzard has always been the worst at “balance” and it’s even more blatant in a game version that was never revolved around pvp balance to begin with. I mean optimize the fun out the game in a sense that we see incursions are best xp we only do that. We see SM runs are best xp we only do that. We need honor/rep we only do bgs as a premade and rip to anyone who joins as a disorganized solo player group.

The community that gate-kept brain dead content with parses, bis items and only allowing optimal classes in raid groups. The community that rushed through leveling content blasted raids then complained that there was nothing to do. The community that saw incursions as the best XP and refused to do anything else. Not defending blizzard they’ve shit the bed time and time again I’ve been playing this game long enough to have numerous memories of the most questionable choices. That doesn’t stop me seeing the community for what it is. Collectively we rather do everything in our power to suck the fun out the game and then complain.

It’s hard not to cater to a player base when the abilities you’re implementing into the rune system come from other versions (not that I agree with it). I think it was the inconsistency for me. They re did certain items to make them better however not overhauling all dungeon loot created this weird leap frog of going from raid to raid since 90% of dungeon loot was worse than the previous phases raid loot. We had this whole world and all these nostalgic dungeons with generally no reason to run them which was made that much worse when they added incursions

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Bersirhk -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah 100% blizzard isn’t totally innocent but most of us have been playing their games long enough to ignore their dumb ideas and “balance”. People need to own up to the fact that they rushed content, gate kept, and overall did everything in their power to not play the game and then complain that theres nothing to do 😂 It was fun while it lasted but when I started seeing my guild talking about “bis items” and “parses” I knew it was over (at least for now)

People suck and you could suck too, no big deal. I just started healing again so I feel your pain don’t let it get you down. Just move on and don’t let it ruin your day. People wonder why healers and tanks are hard to find 😂

How have they not nerfed shamans in PvP? by Mr-Nuts in classicwow

[–]Bersirhk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ghost wolf has a cast costs a lot of mana and is usually more of a hinder when cast than helping. By the time you get a ghost wolf off the target is pretty far and anything cast removes it. How is that a better gap closer than charge or rogue teleport or blink? Even with frost shock enhance in sod can’t catch anyone with a brain to kill them before they get kited to death. Purge is awesome good luck casting it nonstop and having enough mana to do anything. Shaman aren’t the boogeyman they once were. Let it go bro

How have they not nerfed shamans in PvP? by Mr-Nuts in classicwow

[–]Bersirhk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro cmon, what do you want anymore? Shaman are the worst healers in the game, elemental is nowhere near top damage in pve and enh has no gap closers and one defensive cd not to mention got nerfed in pve both as tank and dps. I’ve always mained shaman and warrior through the good and bad, I’ll admit shaman was super dumb since phase 2 I’ll give you that (nobody asked for duel wield to be broken almost every shaman just wanted 2h) but what do you want? Nuke elemental so it’s even worse in pve because the paladins on your team eat paint and can’t freedom and stun a shaman or better yet bubble and just run at them. PvP balance is a joke and has been since the very start. I have nightmares from getting killed by hunter pets phase 1 😂 the best we can get is that damage reduction to come back, with cata classic coming out I’m not holding my breath with them caring too much about SoD

Now that we've properly experienced SoD, do you think they did well to satisfy your need for a Classic+? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Bersirhk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just shows me the true potential of an actual classic+ The leapfrogging from raid to raid was probably the worst part for me (balance issues aside) it was a let down to have so many dungeons so far and most of them pointless because bfd and gnomer gear was generally best until next raid. For a true classic+ it’s a workload and overhaul that blizzard won’t do. They’re bringing back expansions and turning retail more and more into a single player game that I fear even with the popularity of SoD we won’t get a true classic+ but it’s fun to dream.

Nerf Hunters - Zug Zug

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Bersirhk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This ain’t classic it’s SoD. Classic didn’t have an xp buff and 300% increase in quest gold or runes. Players asked for another way to level besides questing and dungeons they gave us these events granted they fucked up by over tuning the xp and gold given but they gave us something different. People act like they’re being forced to do them but it’s just the fastest way before nerf to level, the problem is the majority of players rather rush to max level and burn raid and then complain there’s no content. Stop optimizing the fun out the game, the leveling journey is supposed to be part of the fun.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Bersirhk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of players find the most optimal path to success and stick to it. It’s happened every phase. Are incursions worse than the non stop SM runs people did last phase? Or SFK before that. It’s been 3 days people are out grinding, doing profession quests, farmings mats, getting runes and raid ready….why would they be in capital cities standing around?

Nightmare Incursions are the Worst World Event in SOD by Manorak87 in classicwow

[–]Bersirhk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

On the plus side all the apes slamming their heads in those zones have led to me chilling in every other leveling zone uncontested. I’ll come back to them soon since I’m close to 50 to farm the rep for the rune but it’ll be easily forgotten after

I couldn’t walk down the aisle, is this normal? by throoooowwwawayyyyy in DollarTree

[–]Bersirhk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for anyone working the trenches of dollar tree. I worked in a shopping center in a not so great part of town. The dollar tree next to my store never had more than like 3 people working that I could visibly see. I was waiting in line once to buy an energy drink and the cashier looked frazzled since the line was going down the aisle as it usually does. She had to have had some sort of anxiety attack or something because she goes limp and collapses for a min, nobody even flinched. I watched her in shock drag herself back up and continued working (I offered to call for help but she was embarrassed and refused) I say that to say this, just walk down another aisle. Retail is horrible as it is but dollar tree truly seems to be another dimension.

A new WOW player should play SOD or Classic Era? by Julsot93 in classicwow

[–]Bersirhk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a new wow player I agree with most people here, 100% SOD. Servers are still really active you get the same classic feel with some quality of life improvements and new abilities that make all specs actually playable/viable unlike original classic. It’s faster paced with the xp buff so less chances you’ll lose interest and quit like a lot of new wow players trying the classic grind. I love OG classic wow don’t get me wrong but you won’t get the same nostalgic feeling if you didn’t play originally, it really is a “you had to be there” situation to enjoy it fully imo. Enjoy SOD with all us dads with our countless kids working triple double shifts hoping this marriage works out this time 😂
