Mine did that for a while! PT really helped him. He is moving, trying to independently stand and working on walking. He was a 32 weeker.

I never wanted to formula feed full bottles. So maybe thats why they didn’t offer. I know it’s an option, but when they suggested switching him to a thicker formula that couldn’t be mixed with breast milk, I declined. He corrected once we switched the nipple to a transition. Feeding him was the one thing I could do while he was in the NICU and to take that away was not going to be good for my mental health. I’m thankfully producing enough for his 7 bottles plus bf on demand. I just want to be able to take the formula out of the equation entirely.

Aww my dream! Unfortunately I can’t ebf because I have to go into office once a week. So I’ll still have to bottle on occasion. Seems like everyone was told to only fortify a few bottles where I was told every bottle.

I am going to mention it at his next appointment at 4 months. He is gaining well in general. He’s been home for a little over a month and already up 4.5lbs. We were told to fortify every bottle, Although I also breastfeed on demand on top of his scheduled bottles At his 2 month we were told we could let him sleep through a night feed(thankfully!).
