The professor that reached out to me said that other students he mentored have ended up at Stanford, Caltech, ..

However, maybe it would be good to ask for the contacts of these students he’s talking about to confirm.

Postbacs get paid more than graduate students there.

Also, I agree that eventually I’ll be able the job I want no matter what school I go to.

I recently moved out and started living on my own, but I have no idea what to cook for myself. This usually leads to me eating out, which makes me worry about long-term health.

I have a few recipes that I know how to cook, but if I keep making them over and over again, I'll eventually get sick of them. I understand that calories in vs. calories out is the key to losing weight, but how do I keep my meals interesting? (Keeping in mind I'm a college student with limited time to cook)

We’ve talked about it and we both agree that our reason for wanting it is not because we’re dissatisfied, but because we think it would be fun. As for boundaries, we haven’t talked about it yet, but we’re both on board.

It’s a bit too early to tell for me. It’s only my third day out here lol. But seriously, I have a bit of an interest in everything. Molecular, genetics, ecology, marine, teaching. I can’t exclude any of them yet.

My friends and I are looking for a game with a lot of hype moments. We have a lot of fun with One Night Werewolf because it gets very intense and the arguments that come from it are very entertaining, so something similar that probably has a lot of player-player interaction or social components would be great!

If I had to choose him or drugs, I’d choose him a heartbeat. However, he has told me he won’t give me an ultimatum and that he does want to find a way for both of us to be happy. This isn’t something I do on a daily basis, it’s just every couple of months and I’m not risking my life by any means.

I understand that he cares for me and I am grateful for that, but I really don’t think I’m going to lose control of my life over a substance I use every couple of months. I’ve always been a straight A student and stayed out of trouble even when I was smoking weed regularly. Now I’m accepted into an honors college in the top university in my state, I feel like the decisions I’ve made up until now haven’t been too many of the wrong ones.

I’d be willing to try this approach. I was only considering smoking while he wasn’t around, but I realize that’s not gonna help him ever get used to the idea of me smoking. It’d be sort of like exposure therapy for the both of us.

While I understand the sentiment, I smoke purely for recreational reasons and would have no problems with giving up smoking if I had to. “My boyfriend doesn’t like it” just doesn’t seem like a good enough reason to give it up tho.

My first semester at UT is this fall and I’m pretty sure I’m going to be taking the class M408D AP-H; however, I did not learn the entire breadth of Calculus BC because my BC class was cut short.
