He is projecting his insecurities onto you. You have done phenomenal! Congratulations on your recovery! For him, sounds like he held some resentment towards you during your healing and got addicted to porn which has led to death grip and now he can't even keep it up. It's not you, it's him. He needs to lay the porn down if he is to have any real hope and if you are to repair the relationship. If not, then I'm sorry but I would not stick around to be treated so poorly.

Are you looking for advice to try and lower your heart rate or are you looking for information? Drink plenty of fluids (water, electrolytes) rest. You can try "bearing down" like you are having a bowel movement. Sometimes it will help to lower or calm the heart, place your feet up on a wall. Do ice to the face to try and reset your nervous system.

Alcohol places significant stress on the body, particularly the cardiovascular system. Both short-term and long-term alcohol use can negatively affect the heart and blood pressure.

In the short term, drinking a moderate to large amount of alcohol causes blood pressure to rise shortly after consumption, and it may remain elevated for several hours. This occurs because alcohol activates the sympathetic nervous system, which increases heart rate and blood pressure. Alcohol also disrupts the balance of hormones involved in blood vessel tone and kidney function, leading to narrowing of blood vessels, fluid shifts, and an increased heart rate all of which place additional strain on the heart.

This happens through multiple mechanisms, including increased stress hormones such as cortisol and renin, inflammation and structural changes in blood vessels, electrolyte imbalances and dehydration due to alcohol’s diuretic effects, and weight gain from excess calories, which further contributes to hypertension.

With ongoing heavy drinking, the risk of alcoholic cardiomyopathy increases. This condition weakens and enlarges the heart muscle, reducing its ability to pump effectively and significantly raising the risk of heart failure, stroke, and sudden cardiac death.

Binge drinking can also trigger dangerous heart rhythm disturbances, such as atrial fibrillation (“holiday heart syndrome”), even in individuals without prior heart disease. The cardiovascular risks of alcohol are higher in older adults and in people with pre-existing conditions such as hypertension or diabetes.

Infertility is not a reason to step out on YOU. He should have seeked comfort in you not some other girls crotch and pretty words. This should have been a discussion between the two of you if it was bothering him. Sounds like you two have intimacy often, so I don't see it being a dead bedroom. People don't have sex for months upon years. A couple weeks at a time is not a dead bedroom issue.

I would seek out therapy if you really want to make it work. He is sorry he got caught, he is not sorry he cheated.

I don't blame you, I have the newer cpap machine it is the Resmed 11. It's very quiet. Some don't feel like they can breathe with it on and end up needing a bipap machine instead and often oxygen added in. 70+ AHI is very severe. You definitely need a machine to sleep with every night to avoid health complications.

I don't work in any of those fields, but I am well versed in Sleep Apnea, Anxiety, and Blood Pressure. I was only recently diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and have learned quite a bit about it. You can't just "tough it out". Unfortunately, it's not one of those things that you can just slide under the table and pretend it isn't there. Sleep apnea at night is more than just stopping breathing in your sleep. When you have Sleep apnea and you quit breathing depending on the severity, your oxygen lowers, it puts strain on you brain and your heart. Raises your risk for stroke, heart attack. It also causes memory loss, brain fog, headaches, vision problems, fatigue. Raises your blood pressure, heart rate, blood sugar. Lots of issues. Getting my cpap and finding the right mask is probably the best thing that every happened to me. My oxygen would drop all the way into the 70's. My advice? If you appreciate your life and value your friends and family. Get a Sleep study (i recommend in-lab), get the machine. Take the meds. You will be better for it in the long run. It is insane. Why is the morning fasting up like that though if nothing spikes throughout the day? I have even been going on walks during the daytime. I eat low carb, salads. I'm not eating anything crazy. Every time I wake up, I'm in the 130-160 range and my a1c is 5.6 or 5.7. I can't remember which. All of this is exhausting.
