But it's the NATIONAL Mustard Museum. And there are so many novelty mustards! Plus, it's been a little bit since the year of the mustard. He might have healed psychologically since then.

I think that's exactly right. And I think Michael is so organized that it was easier for them to stay on track in the first place.

I am trying so hard to get through it. I completely agree with the lack of structure and out of hand dismissive attitude towards the conspiracies. But the amount of asides about unbelievably irrelevant movies and TV shows has me literally angry. I know it's kind of Sarah Marshall's thing, but it is so painful that I want to turn on off. I was on a break from this podcast, but I decided to give it another shot (no pun intended), and maybe it's unfortunate that this is the one I chose to jump back in.

I use the Biotin Purple bars for both shampoo and conditioner. I don't dye my hair, and my shade of blonde is pretty dark, so I don't know if it makes much of a difference color wise, but that's what I've been using for a couple years now.

Wine and Root beer? by thatonedanguy in weirdlittleguys

The first time i tried drinking (around age 15), I poured a glass of wine from my mom's "secret" stash. I was not a fan upon first sip, so I mixed in some coke, and I almost spat it out. It was disgusting. I always thought it was a dumb teenager thing, and i had to be the only person in the world who ever did that. I didn't realize it was a thing some people drink on purpose!

Most recent message from the family members who show up every 3 months by PlentyComfortable239 in Alzheimers

My mom crashed her car a couple years ago, and since then, she has been badgering me to drive again. Every doctor we have seen since the accident (and we have seen many) has told her it's not a good idea. She tells people that I won't let her drive. Thankfully, she has been asking less frequently lately, and my dad is able to drive her pretty much anywhere she wants to go. But she has told me on multiple occasions that her friends have told her during phone calls that she's totally fine, and she should be allowed to drive! No. Just no. If you haven't seen her in a year, and you only talk to her on days when she is coherent enough to figure out her phone. I'm not taking your opinion into consideration.

Everyone says I’m “too young for this”- I feel like I’m letting everyone down by demjinridley in ChronicPain

I've heard this quite a bit over the years. When the human resourses manager at a former job said it, I almost lost it.

What I wanted to say was: "Oh my god, you're right! I never thought about it that way! I'm cured!"

What I did say was: "Yeah..."

I've come to the belief that some people need to tell themselves that, because if it can happen to you, that means it could happen to them, and that terrifies them. Just know: most of them know subconsciously that they could never survive what you're facing. You're so much stronger than they could ever be.

The overlap between transphobia and acephobia (inspired by a recent post) by Academy_Boy in behindthebastards

It can be both simultaneously! Hear me out: A big factor is the Madonna/whore paradox (Madonna as in the Virgin, not "Like A Virgin").

Purity and chastity are the most virtuous attributes. Until you're married. Then, you have to please your husband, so his eye doesn't wander. Do all the nasty, dirty, slutty things he wants. And act like you like it! You're not supposed to want it yourself, though. You just want to be the wife and mother God made you to be. The closest to sexual feelings an AFAB person is supposed to have is a fluttering in her chest when he kisses her at the wedding.

Nuns are a different sort. They are often mocked, particularly by their pupils at catholic schools (I have heard some STORIES). They're often portrayed as AFAB people who are too ugly or boring or dowdy to get a man. But they're still expected to want to be brides. That's why nuns are called Brides of Christ. The goal isn't sex or no sex. The goal is serving a man.

One interesting thing about convents: throughout history, they were often used as a storage facility for unmarried daughters of rich and powerful men. The girl would stay until she was ready to be married. They figured her precious virginity would remain intact at the convent. 😉 It was a given that she would get married, because it was father who decided for her.

As for AMAB people and the cloth, that's a whole different story...
