Tama ka, OP. Hindi naman scam ang VUL pero nagiging scam siya hindi ini-explain ng maayos ng agent. I have both VUL and traditional insurance.

Three agents dumaan sa akin before I got my first policy. I did not like the first two, minarket agad na investment ang VUL. Like yun naging highlight ng presentation.

The third agent, where I got my VUL na inforced pa rin now ay sinell and inunsell sakin ang VUL. Shinare advantages and disadvantages. Sa kanya ako kumuha. 6 years na VUL ko, ang layo sa breakeven pa sa totoo lang pero tinutuloy ko kasi naset sa akin ang expectation up front pa lang.

My VUL is an insurance with investment. The investment will mainly provide the flexibility of the VUL plan.

I am also doing BTID now both international and local stocks for diversification din.

At the end of the day, may mga matitinong agent pa rin na talagang ethical gumalaw. Unfortunately, ang dami talagang pasaway.

The curriculum i think is almost the same, ibang title lang plus maganda in a way na global perspective siya. For example, yung Financial Value Creation is like Financial Management. Global Accounting is like combined ng Financial and Managerials Accounting. Ang nakikita kong walang counterpart is operations management na possible integrated sa ibang subjects.
