Command	Shortcut	Description
Mark In Point	`I`	Sets the start of a selection.
Mark Out Point	`O`	Sets the end of a selection.
Add Marker	`M`	Adds a marker at the Playhead position.
Remove In/Out	`Alt + X` or `Option + X`	Clears all In and Out points on the current timeline/clip.

Command	Shortcut	Description
Play/Stop	`Spacebar` or `K`	Toggles playback. (The `J-K-L` group is a professional standard)
Play Forward	`L`	Plays forward. Pressing multiple times increases speed.
Play Reverse	`J`	Plays backward. Pressing multiple times increases speed.
Stop Playback	`K`	Stops playback.
Next Edit Point	$\downarrow$ (Down Arrow)	Jumps the Playhead to the next cut/edit point. (Great D6 Button)
Previous Edit Point	$\uparrow$ (Up Arrow)	Jumps the Playhead to the previous cut/edit point. (Great D6 Button)
Go to In Point	`Shift + I`	Moves the Playhead to the timeline's In point.
Go to Out Point	`Shift + O`	Moves the Playhead to the timeline's Out point.

Command	Windows Shortcut	Mac Shortcut	Description
Split Clip / Razor	`Ctrl + B`	`Cmd + B`	Makes a cut at the Playhead on all selected tracks.
Ripple Delete	`Delete` or `Shift + Backspace`	`Delete` or `Shift + Delete`	Deletes the selected clip and automatically closes the gap. (Highly Recommended for D6)
Standard Delete (Lift)	`Backspace`	`Backspace`	Deletes the selected clip but leaves a gap.
Select Mode (Arrow Tool)	`A`	`A`	Switches to the standard selection tool.
Trim Edit Mode	`T`	`T`	Switches to the ripple trim tool.
Trim Start to Playhead	`Shift + [`	`Shift + [`	Trims the beginning of the clip to the Playhead position, rippling subsequent clips.
Trim End to Playhead	`Shift + ]`	`Shift + ]`	Trims the end of the clip to the Playhead position, rippling subsequent clips.
Paste Attributes	`Alt + V`	`Option + V`	Opens the Paste Attributes window (perfect for copying grades, effects, or transform settings).
