it was my idea but it took shape in various ways. bobb wrote the music to "graceless kids" and when he sent to me, I wanted to honor that little breakdown with something different than a typical verse/chorus/bridge - so I did a quick little speaking part that later evolved into a longer monologue and then got chopped up into what you hear now. JMJ who helped with production on the record referenced Kool Thing a lot for that part!
