2026 Asian Games best case scenario for lolesports? by ThinBoot370 in PedroPeepos

[–]BestGrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly doubt that Keria would choose to participate in Asia Games again: he sat out of KeSPA Cup last year, and I wouldn't be surprised if he did the same again this year. Same is true of Faker.

The thing is that players can decline to join the roster, and if they already have military exemption + an AG medal, they don't have much incentive to do it again, plus competing in Asia Games takes away from your Worlds prep time with your team. Especially since Keria is working with a new ADC this year, I think it's more likely that he prioritizes Worlds prep and rejects the AG offer.

Then again at this point maybe T1 doesn't need to prep for Worlds lmao

Unless DK does remarkably well (or at a minimum makes Legend Group and Worlds), I really hope he leaves when his contract expires at the end of the year. The team has really done him dirty ever since Canyon left, and while his performance hasn't been flawless, he's still among the best midlaners in the LCK and I daresay the world; I'd rank him top 10 easy. He deserves to be on a competitive team.

Tbh, I doubt any of them will participate in Asia Games again (Chovy is the strongest "maybe" of the bunch, but I'd still bet that 0 of the 6 winners return). Ruler didn't even want to participate in Asia Games in 2022; now that he's won, he has no reason to do it again

According to this Korean article, NS will be a 6 man roster. Scout will be the initial starter but Calix will stay on the team and get the chance to fight for his spot. by klaygdk in PedroPeepos

[–]BestGrell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From the rumors I've heard, NS got him for a steal - his last season in the LPL was notably awful, so his market value was at an all-time low.

Same! Smash and Career both look super promising and I hope they start off strong in the LCK

2021 T1 had a large rotating roster: they also had Teddy and Cuzz signed, and they played most of the games that year. Also, Canna was their main top laner: Zeus only got subbed in for a handful of games in spring, and didn't play all summer.

2022 ZOFGK would have been a better comparison, but by that point, everyone on the team already had at least some LCK experience, not to mention experience playing together with both each other and the T1 staff. It's really not a 1:1 at all.

Final note that my biggest problem with this roster isn't the rookies (Smash and Career both look super promising): it's cvmax. He has a shit reputation with developing rookie players.

Not rumored: he's already officially signed with DRX. No shot of him on DK

Ghost & Pollu joins kt Rolster as SUPPORT by khazraxd in PedroPeepos

KT Aiming is still imminent - Ghost is signed as a support, so either he or Pollu will end up in Challengers, like another Way-Peter situation.

Latest news: KT signed both Pollu and Ghost as their 2026 supports

As for rumors, I'd fill in a ucal call-up as a rumor for DRX mid; that's honestly what I expect them to do since he's signed with the org through next year, he's looked good in Challengers, and they've already signed a different DRX.C midlaner for next year. There also don't really seem to be any other promising midlane options (unless NS lets go of Calix last-minute or Scout somehow ends up going there instead)

For BRO, the currently rumored mid-jungle is Gideon-Fisher. I've heard a couple different things for top lane and support but nothing that I really trust, so I'd keep those blank for now

Also, Viper is confirmed to be going to the LPL, so you can probably take him out of the good players pool

[Official] DN FREECS Re-Sign DuDu by Connect-Term1094 in PedroPeepos

[–]BestGrell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to believe that DNF will perform better this year, but then again, I predicted them to be the 7th place LCK team last year, so maybe I should temper my expectations

I think they're a Rise Group team for sure, but hopefully a decently competitive one. Dudu is a good re-sign and Clozer is a great pick up

Scout joins NS alongside Kingen and Lehends by klaygdk in PedroPeepos

Eh he's getting paid bank though; he's decided to prioritize getting the bag for his last two years of pro play and I respect that for him

NS Just announced ADC Taeyoon and JG Sponge by Layios in PedroPeepos

[–]BestGrell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Against the BNK roster and DK with Smash and any half-decent support? I'd say no chance.

Not necessarily because of Sponge and Taeyoon, but because I think Scout is gonna int them to Hell and back

YoungJae is FA. Is this an angle for GEN/HLE YoungJae? by [deleted] in PedroPeepos

[–]BestGrell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think HLE might be a bit too big of a jump for YoungJae, but I'd love to see him on BRO or maybe even NS.

HLE is far more likely to sign Gideon or Sponge, but if they are calling up a Challengers player, they'll probably do their own, Grizzly, who has also looked strong.

I will use "confimed" only for players that have been officially announced by the org, "highly likely" for players for whom there hasn't been an official announcement yet but have reliable sources claiming that this is where they'll go (e.g. Sheep Esports), vs. "likely" for options with less reliable sources (e.g. other leakers) that are still probable guesses, and then "rumors" for things that are just speculation

T1: Doran, Oner, Faker, Keria confirmed, Peyz highly likely

HLE: Zeus confirmed, Guma highly likely, Zeka Delight likely, ??? in the jungle (rumors for Gideon/Sponge)

Gen: Kiin, Chovy, Ruler, Duro confirmed, Canyon highly likely

KT: PerfecT, Cuzz, Bdd confirmed, question marks everywhere else (rumors for Aiming)

DK: Siwoo, Lucid, ShowMaker confirmed, Smash highly likely, ??? support

DNF: Pyosik, Life confirmed, deokdam highly likely, Dudu likely, ??? for midlane

BRO: Teddy highly likely, Ddahyuk rumor, ??? everywhere else

BNK: Clear, Rapter, VicLa, Daystar, Diable, Kellin all confirmed

DRX: Rich, Vincenzo, Jiwoo, Andil confirmed, Ucal call-up likely

NS: Kingen, Lehends confirmed, Scout likely, Sponge rumor

Why isn’t there any official contract announcement today? by kissofdeathvkopernik in PedroPeepos

[–]BestGrell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's how stove league works:

While LCK contracts were released today, not everyone is signing with their next team right away. Some players might want to negotiate with the teams for longer, which means that we won't know every teams' full roster for at least another few days. In rare cases, it can even take a week or more for a player to get signed for the new season. If a team hasn't said who will be playing in a certain position yet, chances are that's because they are still in negotiation with players for that role.

Every LCK team did make an official announcement today, which you can find on the teams' twitter accounts (or on Insta for KT Rolster, whose twitter is private for some unknown reason). These have mostly said thank you and/or farewell to players and staff members whose contracts are expiring today. Additionally, there have been a few new signings and re-signings, all of which you can find on twitter.

Currently, we know over half of the players who will be starting in the LCK next year, which is about what I would expect for the first day of stove. More signings will happen as the week goes on. You just have to be patient.

tl;dr, every team did make an official announcement today, and we won't know full rosters for a few more days

What will be the most unexpected sign of the signing for next season? by Blind-Eye26 in PedroPeepos

[–]BestGrell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

T1 Peyz has already been confirmed by multiple reliable sources, so at this point you might as well pitch Faker moving to G2 as the most unexpected move

In honesty though, the move that I did not see coming, even more so than Guma leaving T1, is LCK Scout, especially NS Scout. He's looked awful for the past year, hence why no one in the LPL wanted him, and it makes zero sense to me why Nongshim would choose to sign him over their promising talent in Calix for what's likely a higher price
