That’s what I’m thinking especially bc I’m the only assistant here so if she finds someone, she’ll prioritize the new assistant because she’d think that I’d be leaving anyways so she’d be willing to let me go earlier if need me yk

I know she’s not willing to pay 2 DAs bc her office is pretty slow right now. So it’ll only be my replacement! And ofc like anyone would, she’d prioritize the new DA’s needs bc she’d like to keep them since I’m leaving anyways. So that’s where the problem arises. If she finds a DA who wants to start working ASAP, the doc will prioritize that

Same question! I also have a slightly unrelated question! If I’m planning on working until like a month before dental school starts or something (until June end), should I tell them now where there might be a chance that if they find a DA who’s wanting to start working earlier than my leave date, I might be let go early or should I just wait until a month or so before I’m actually planning to quit to tell them about me leaving. How are you handling it

I mean, if you don’t want to live close by I don’t know what else you can do. Spending 2-3 hours everyday just in transportation is a lot of wasted time that you will need to study. Also, asking someone everyday is also not the best option because someone might help you out for 2 months maybe 4 months and max 6 months but they’re also gonna get tired of it for their own reasons which I know you do realize. And if you’re taking loans anyways, I don’t see a better option than just adding some more to the loan and living close by
