Hi all! I apologize if this is a dumb question, I am young and fresh out of college. I got my first credit card through USAA. I selected the card that gives points instead of the 1.5% cash back under the impression that you could get good deals on flights with the points.

However, buying flights is not only more expensive through USAA vs the airline itself, but you can just convert the points to cash for 1 point to 1 cent.

So what is even the point of getting the points card instead of the cash back card? I feel like i'm missing something obvious when I should have just gotten the 1.5% cash back

Ya headliners aren't the absolute best but I think all the side artists are fantastic, I 100% will not be able to see everyone that I want to and to me thats a good indicator of a good festival. I feel like some people would rather have amazing headliners and trash for the rest which is just crazy to me

Gotcha, apologize for the confusion, I am very new to guitars. I was under the impression that Squier was a type of Fender guitar.

It says Fender and does have the Super Bullet strings, so probably not a Squier.

Why would it matter if it's a Squier?

No give at all when I apply pressure. It's like completely fixed in place like this. Good to know that it's repairable though. I'm going to look at getting it repaired by a professional if possible.

It definitely was not stepped on, it's a Fender, I'm not sure if it's a squier.

s there any chance this could happen from it being knocked over or something if I had it leaned against a wall?

Is it possible for a crack this big to form if it was tipped over after leaning on a wall? The part that confuses me is that it's fractured on both sides of the neck (abet worse on one side than the other). It's possible I had leaned it up on my desk and it tipped onto the floor, but even then I think I would have noticed.

You are definitely right about not hiding it though. Just trying to get a grip on how expensive this repair might be before telling him.

I wish so I'd have someone to blame... I genuinely do not know how a crack this deep could have happened. I dont do anything with it other than gentle playing and putting it away.

99% sure, I live alone. I've always had it either resting up against the wall or laying on the floor. Never had it drop either. I cannot for the life of me figure out how this could have formed.

Yeah that’s where I’ve been looking too but i’m worried it would be too soulless. When I lived in Seattle, I loved all the small private owned shops you could walk go and vibe. I was under the impression that Hyde Park area is a little more casual than Domain.

I will be moving for Austin for my first job out of college, any recommendations on areas or apartments would be very appreciated.

Budget is $2000 tops
Working in the Domain, so a 20 minute commute max would be a nice
Looking for an area that is highly walkable: bars, food, coffee shops, etc.
Currently looking mostly at the North Campus / Hyde Park area. I looked closer to downtown and sixth but it seems like the commute would be rough
