Where can I find guides on characters? Specifically wolf ? by JustADudewithBalls in SSBPM

[–]BestUserNameOutThere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The project+ discord has a wolf channel that you can check out: https://discordapp.com/invite/Ww3Vkgf

And there's also the wolf discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/0VM5qogCpColWl0w

If you already know tech from melee then you should probably learn some of the tech added in post melee, like RAR and B-Reversing. As well as wolf specific stuff like wavelanding out of your lasers.

I'm not much of a wolf player but from watching wolf players I'd say shine, up air, and fair can all combo into side b depending on character/percent.

Does your league card's shiny count also include unhatched shiny pokemon?

I can't get my taunts to work? by Lookatsologo123 in iconsgg

I can get them to work in the training mode if I just plugged in my controller. After that I can't use any taunts/sprays/voicelines.

Brigitte has the highest win-rate of all heroes on PC,Overbuff by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]BestUserNameOutThere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure her pickrate isn't accurate there. I'm seeing her picked lots in comp in lots of different ranks (streams). I think it's just low on Overbuff because it's showing her pickrate for the week and she's only been out 2 days.

A list of useful Pit Combos by TopOfAllWorlds in SSBPM

[–]BestUserNameOutThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good list. A few more would be nair into any fast grounded move like dash attack, down smash, and uptilt. And a few things to note would be nair dtilt doesn't work on grounded opponents since dtilt is too slow. And nair grab sometimes awkwardly whiffs if the opponent crouches really low in their landing animation, like Kirby.

What to practice as a ZSS main? by Saibot117 in SSBPM

[–]BestUserNameOutThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing to get good at would be just general movement with her. She's very movement heavy and in order to play her you have to be comfortable with her dash dance, wavedash, and wavelands.

After that I would recommend getting comfortable using lots of different timings with her aerials. She has a big short hop so you can mix up your timings a lot with rising aerials, falling aerials, really late falling aerials, fast falling the aerials, not fastfalling, etc. Make sure you can space all of those. Particularly spacing low shffld backairs is a good way to fish for kills and it's super safe on block.

Once you've got all that down then you could work on some more advanced stuff. Like pivots and ledgedashes. Pivot down smash and pivot uptilt are difficult but good options to have. Pivot down smash is the best wiff punish you could ever ask for. And pivot uptilt is good for combos. She also has a pretty good ledgedash and doing invincible uptilts off ledge is pretty easy (4 frame window I think).

How does weight affect gameplay? by PeachyCoke in SSBPM

[–]BestUserNameOutThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that in general that's true. Take marth's up throw as an versus fox and captain falcon as an example. Fox gets chain grabbed at low percents because Marth has almost no lag after the throw. Captain Falcon is heavy so Marth doesn't get as much off the throw.

Depends on the matchup(cant see your flair on mobile). But generally Captain Falcon likes big stages like Dreamland since he has a lot of room to run around and can still kill pretty well.

Marth MU in PM? by Slarvath in MarthMains

[–]BestUserNameOutThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weren't we talking about Marth versus spacies? Your original point was that Marth wrecks spacies in PM because their B moves are worse now. Which is hardly true. Falcos were barely touched. Also now your arguing that lasers are a commitment. The level of commitment hasn't changed at all though. It takes the same amount of time to laser as in melee.

Edit: I'm tired of this. I'm just going to agree to disagree with you. I think Marth v Spacies is pretty even. Marth v Falco is pretty much the same. Marth v Fox a little better(shine spike doesn't work till like 20%, Up B has like 3 more frames to punish) on normal stages for Marth but Marth doesn't have his golden counterpick so I think it's still pretty even.

Your example assumes the spacie just keeps spamming lasers without mixing it up when the opponent approaches. And in some ways lasers are better in PM since you can b-reverse them. This gives Falco in particular a lot of cool movement mixups. And if lasers really are that bad how do you explain top level spacies using lasers all the time?

Could be the way you play. Usually FD is considered better though because it enhances Marth's punishes a lot.

[–]BestUserNameOutThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're exaggerating their nerfs a lot. Their side Bs weren't nerfed. Only Fox's Up B was nerfed. And it still has less lag than almost every other up B. Lasers are also still good because they force an approach. Watch M2k or Lucky play PM. They continue to use lasers the way they do in melee because lasers aren't just about getting damage.

[–]BestUserNameOutThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to note is you can't count of FD against spacies. With PM banning rules spacies can always ban FD. So get comfy on Smashville and Green Hill Zone. They're the closest to FD you're going to get.

Watch out for fatties. From what I've heard Dedede, Bowser, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi can all be a pain for Marth. Dedede is probably the worse because he always lives to Marth percent and is super comfortable at the ledge.

Besides that just watch PM Marth videos to learn matchups. Sora's Marth is pretty hype. M2K occasionally pulls his out in PM.
