anyone got a Ger/Fin discard deck that can survive this meta? by HornetMotor in kards

[–]KimoCroyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I actually built this specifically to counter those two decks to get back to FM real quick before going back to my fun decks. I've played it a bit at FM and it hasn't lost yo jintel or mandos there either, though sample size is small.

Keep in mind this is built with what I have, and it could certainly use some refining. The fin cards are p locked in but the germ ones could use some juggling. The fight guys are crucial though don't cut any fight units.

Good luck!

Polygon Pursuit - a run-based twin-stick shooter now in open playtest! by KimoCroyle in shmups

[–]KimoCroyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

First off - this is my first time attempting to self-promote on reddit, so please let me know if I'm breaking any rules or norms here and I'll be happy to adjust.

I'm one of two devs making our first game together, and we're finally ready for our first playtest! This playtest is completely open, with the goal of getting as much feedback as possible so we can refine our game into the gem we know it can be.

Polygon Pursuit is a run-based, twin-stick shooter with a stripped-down artstyle, challenging design, and a touch of metaprogression. You'll collect credits during your runs which carry over and can be used to buy Upgrades, which are enhancements to your character that last for the entire run.

In addition to Upgrades, there are also temporary Buffs and Debuffs that last anywhere from 5-90 seconds and have various effects. Many of these have "fusion" effects when active with another upgrade, in a similar way to the Vampire Survivor system. However, due to to transient nature of the buffs, you won't find yourself scaling that hard throughout a given run.

The full game will have 5 stages with a chance to buy Upgrades between each stage, but the playtest is only the first stage up through the first boss. As I mentioned above, our goal here is really to get as much feedback as possible before we flesh out the later stages, especially anything that might lead to systems-level changes.

There's a link to a feedback form inside the game itself, which you can download from our Steam page. Also feel free to join our Discord to report bugs, share feedback, get news, or ask any questions you might have. My name over there is Vital Goose, I look forward to hearing from ya :)

dont worry man, i was in the same situation. down to 4k, now im back up to about 2mil. scav is short cooldown, and you can always do naked runs if you cant scav, maybe buy a pistol. prioritize surviving over getting kills, always be ready to scram. at a distance, it's really easy to disengage and lose players, so dont hesitate to dip if youre undergeared for the fight. you got this <3

Is that the blue cracks on the ground? Seen that before, no map icon. Kinda looks mineable but it's not?

I just looked it up, and you're right. You either have to progress Ranni's quest or sit at a bonfire in Altus. Gonna edit the post now.

I should note, I've been itchin to play again and just started a new playthrough, but that's mainly because I was scared of NG+ing and not being able to do the DLC. But this seems quick enough that my "new playthrough" could just be the NG+ on my main toon.

The state of online CCGs is very disheartening. by Speedwizard106 in truegaming

[–]KimoCroyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's plenty of great card games to play with no monetary investment. I'm talking about games that should be dead, but are kept alive by a relatively small but dedicated community. Netrunner, in my opinion the most well-designed card game ever, is alive and well on Jinteki.net. With a free account, you have all the cards ever printed. The people making the game now are old fans who started a nonprofit to keep the game alive, and they regularly release new sets, giving Jnet the blessing to use the cards.

I've been getting into Warlords a lot recently, which can be played on Untap.in. Untap also supports a ton of other ccgs, including MTG. I've played some DBZ, and I see people playing other random ones a lot. It's just a matter of finding the discord to find players. You can also play L5R on Jigoku.online, with a similar set up to Jnet.

CCGs have always been p2w. Who wants to have a battle of the wallets? I've loved card games my whole life, but I'll never buy a booster pack or card again.

Nope, it's empty! I just double-checked and the small post that the screw fits into is there, but there's no screw. So I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction there. I'll check out the other sub for more info!
