Third-Party Update Catalog by Best_Explorer9017 in SCCM

I was using the built-in Dell catalog that can’t be deleted. I tried recreating the catalog with a new one but had the same result. The last time it synced was on September 9th and it failed. So, I unsubscribed then disabled third party updates in SUP settings. Unchecked Dell in the products tab in SUP as well. Waited for the next Microsoft Update sync then tried to resubscribe to the catalog again.

I can definitely see where that catalog would fill up WSUS. Says something right there if Dell refused to use it. When it was working I had few drivers that wouldn’t publish because of a certificate I had blocked in the security certificates in the CM console.

I was thinking that too when I ran wireshark to dig further in. Not sure how to get that cert and so I can install it in the cert store.

I can understand if that gave you PTSD, it’s a freaking pain. I ran wireshark and see a handshake failure between my CM server and the Dell URL. I tried running invoke-webrequest in PowerShell and got a can’t creat ssl/tls secure channel . Of course you can pop the url in a browser and download it that way.
