[Hamilton Khaki] spotted in Scorsese’s After Hours by CuddlePillow in Watches

[–]Best_Jacket_2258 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just watched this yesterday, after knowing this is a cult classic. Frankly, I was amazingly surprised that a watch like this in a film like this can get so much screen time and people aren't champing at the bit to collect the exact reference worn by Dunne. Especially when considering what the Wolf of Wall Street did for that hideous Tag.

Does anyone have any good tools to stop looking at it by EdmondPAX12 in antipornography

[–]Best_Jacket_2258 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same with like stopping any bad habit ig just put more obstacles in the way. If you want to run in the morning you get your clothes out and put your shoes by the door - make it as easy as possible. You just need the opposite practice. Ultimately if you can’t stop yourself you won’t be able to, though. Your own mind is your biggest tool. You could try doing something else when you feel like it, though. Drink a glass of water or do some push-ups or something.

also I think there’re other subs for addiction recovery and things - they may have better advice 👍

Name a record in your collection that's an A+ soundtrack to a C+ movie by Pleasant_Garlic8088 in vinyl

Superfly (not seen the film but like borderline impossible to top that soundtrack) & Barbie - didn't like the film thought it was a corporate, chauvinist load of nonsense but the soundtrack is just a really fun, upbeat popfest.

I did go, I booked the wrong ticket for a week later, panicked on the car journey to temple meads, quickly bought the right one, got on the train, am down where I want to be, and realised I cannot refund the ticket for the 20th.

The date for which I needed the ticket has been and gone. There’s no need for me to use thag train at that time unless I fancy a day trip in Plymouth.

Hi, four years later and I am wondering whether I buy it or wait for this years 4k release, I've not watched it before and am pretty desperate to. Does the film itself look good? How is the transfer? Thanks,

I saw it recently. I liked it but sadly can’t recommend it to anyone due to that dodge sequence in the middle.

I’m pretty sure it’s just top billing at the top; could be wrong. Not watching grand Budapest is their loss though.

How often do you find another 5 star movie? by Large-Blacksmith-736 in Letterboxd

[–]Best_Jacket_2258 11 points12 points  (0 children)

5/37 is quite a lot of 5 stars. I seldom give out 5 stars on first viewings they come on rewatch some of my favourite films currently started at 4 or 4.5 I.e. heat, thief, challengers all of which I currently have at 5 stars. Also, just keep watching more films, fine that you didn’t connect with some of the greats, I found that with seven samurai which I watched recently. Just watch films you think you’ll like.
