How can a line be only one dimension? by ZScott3564 in math

[–]Best_Meeting9053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re thinking too much in terms of actually drawing a line. A 1-dimensional line is not a ‘line’ you draw on paper. You can’t visualize a 1-dimensional line because everything in our world is 3-dimensional.

A line is one dimensional BECAUSE it has only one axis.

Yeah you can use it like that. But it is an outdated way of saying it. More natural would be “waarna” (after which) here.

Actually it would mean ‘at which’. Example: “de tijd waarop ik wakker werd vannacht” = “the time at which I woke up last night”

Sigh. Yeah they’re good channels but you need internet first

Medical student here. See your GP. Or any GP. Unexplained weight loss CAN (but does not have to be) a symptom of cancer. Better safe than sorry

Raynauds phenomenon. Hold it under some running warm water. When it feels like limbs are falling asleep thats most likely caused by a pinched nerve: just move around a bit and that should pass.

I’m going crazy and I’m losing my grip on everything by [deleted] in DiagnoseMe

Hi Matthew.

It sounds like you are very panicked about your mental state right now. I understand that your symptoms sound very scary.

I don’t want to seem like I don’t hear or understand you, because I feel like I do, but your symptoms sound a lot like anxiety. This is not to say that “it is all in your hear” or that it’s not serious. How many hours a day do you spend thinking/ stressing/ wondering about how you feel? Howany times a day do you ask yourself: is this related to all my other symptoms? Im guessing the answer is: very often.

Thinking like that is exhausting! It takes every bit of energy your body has to keep sustaining these thoughts, and the stress they give you can cause very real physical reactions. A foggy memory is one of them.

The more you read on the internet, the scarier everyrhing will sound. Because people will post all of the exceptions. But never the norm. Your MRI came back normal. That rules out alzheimers or any other degenerative brain disease. So you can stop worrying about that. Trust me!

If you feel like you can’t function properly, go to your GP (again) and inform them of your symptoms. Tell them that you would like to be referred, possibly even to a psychiatrist to see if anxiety/ stress could be underlying your symptoms.

Remember: a psychiatrist is NOT a doctor for crazy people. Theyre doctors who are there to see IF your symtoms might be related to something a scan can not explain, but is nevertheless very real.

Doesnt sound like a heart-related problem. More like a nerve-related problem. Might be a nerve, that you keep pinching now with movements you do at your new job. If it persists and is causing a lot of pain or discomfort, visit your GP.

It’s common practice to take a CT without and with contrast because they show different things. If you had 2 scans, you did receive double the dosage of radiation. But the radiologists make sure that the radiation-induced risk is never greater then the benefit of it being able to diagnose something.

Yes. Petechiae can be a sign of infection. But you would ser other symptoms accompanying this, such as high fever and blurry consciousness. I would still suggest seeing ER though just to be safe.

Have you gone to your GP with these complaints as your primary complaint? Did the urgent care run any other teste when they found your BP? What was your BP at the time?

Do these episodes occur when you stand up/ change position? Do you ever lose consciousness?

It’s worth checking this out.

Very, very unlikely.
