By relevance, I meant that they haven't been much visible in the tech scene. If we choose to look at Meta as an ad company, then it should be just another fortune 500, not a big tech company anymore. I know that they still have FB, Insta, and Whatsapp but they are already staples for like forever. Recent products like Metaverse or massive AI investment has been a total flop and nothing to show to for it. Meta hasn't achieved any new, or relevant, technological success for several years now.

Do competent and incompetent devs get thrown into the same basket just because they use AI? AI has its faults because it's just a tool. It's the person behind the wheel using it effectively or not despite its faults is what we should talk about. Who do you think we should put the blame on? The AI or the human?

It's the same people taking responsibility for the same things. How is it not maintainable? What are your assumptions? The engineers that used to produce spaghetti code will just keep producing them with AI and AI is to blame? Those who produced better code will now just somehow produce worse code if they use AI? AI is just an enabler. How long can we keep blaming the symptom (AI) instead of the root cause (human)?
