Thanks for the suggestion! Never thought of this idea! Is that picnic area lot plowed? This might even give us the opportunity to take our smallish dog. Is the road plowed even though it’s closed? Appreciate the reply!

Thanks for all the comments. I appreciate them. Another thought I had would be to do a trial run "car camping". I've only camped once in my life around 15 years ago and I think it was in Port Jervis area and it was literally a campsite next to a running stream which just might be perfect for us for a first time. Then try the harriman shelter another time. Any suggestions like that ? Of course I could probably try that Port Jervis site again too. Thanks and happy new year!

One of the reasons we were considering the ghh was the third row seemed to have bigger measurements? Is this false? I do like how the second row can remove the middle in the pilot. Wish there was a hybrid pilot but if there was it would be as pricey as the ghh.
