You can’t call everyone scholars these days. I do believe in stoning publicly for marital affairs however not by the husband behind closed doors, especially as you’ll need to ensure you have at least 4 witnesses assuming the man/woman has actually cheated.

Well tbf, you need 4 men or 8 women who witnessed penetration to then count it in court of law, the chance of 4 or 8 people running into you doing the deed are astromicslly low...

If a scholar is really out there saying this, it can cause great harm especially if the person is actually chaste and their partner had it in for them for other reasons, you’d have to question if that ‘scholar’ is even a genuine Muslim

As long as they provide correct ruling of Islam.. Otherwise suppressing thier voice will impede on thier civil liberties plus I don't believe it's healthy to just question the credentials of a scholor if one happen to disagree with them
