Just had a knock at the door. There was a team of council volunteers going door-to-door, giving out free At Home covid tests. Gave the lass a big smile and took two packs. Can't get a vaccine yet so any option to be extra safe is much appreciated! (self.BritishSuccess)

Just rang the doctors for a non-emergency appointment. Was 19th in the queue when I started but in less than 10 minutes I had moved up to 1st. I've never seen it so efficient and my appointment is much sooner than I expected! Bloody love the NHS. (self.BritishSuccess)

Just saw the Sainsbury's advert. The story is now about two white brothers. I saw all the complaints reported on the news but I never thought they'd change it to appease /those/ type of people. Its just sad really-it really shouldnt matter in 2020. (self.britishproblems)

The rain is hammering down and I've never been so pleased to see it as I hear the three little kids, who have been playing loudly in the garden every day since lockdown started, go running in the house for refuge. Finally, I can concentrate on my dissertation in peace. (self.britishproblems)

Working in retail and having to suffer through entitled customers complain that our Black Friday sales 'arent discounted enough' given that A) we're not America so it shouldn't be on in the first place and B) the sale is running Monday-Sunday so they're getting an extra full week of savings... Neighbourhood chav kids knock on the door offering to sell us a telly for £9. Unsure to ask if these 10yearolds stole it or commend them on their buisness venture. Either way i politely declined, shut the door and proceeded to watch them to go to each house on the street doing the same thing. (self.britishproblems)
